Climb, find every single german plane on opposite team on my six, get shot down.
Next game, climb to the side, then to the center, find russian P-63 on my six, dive, get shot down.
Next game, climb, find Ki-84 on my six, try and dive, get shot down.
Next game, climb, spit IX on my six, successfully dive away, get shot down by typhoon 30 seconds later I had not seen.
Please somebody make it stop.
Also, please don't ask me about my time taking out my new G-6 for a spin, I swore I developed a brain aneurysm after my first three games.

TB-3/DB dreams shattered.
Played half a match of arcade to get the 5 quick kills to get a free aircraft. And holy fucking shit was it a good reminder as to why I don't play arcade. Tailed some yak variant in my P-38 and got completely shot to shit by friendlies behind me trying to get the kill. Peeled off from him so I wouldn't get completely destroyed and got rammed by an overzealous friendly BF109 desperate to steal the kill.
jfc this game has an absolutely terrible community. Worse than world of tanks ever was.
I got the hydro reserve plane. Not the one I wanted the most, but also not the one I wanted the least.

Ended up getting the DB-7 thing. And even though its merely a French Surrender Dirigible, it's actually pretty fun. For it's tier, has a good bomb load and it faces biplanes. So meh. Could have been worse and got a hydro plane thats not even hydro.

I just witnessed of pure excellence of American pilots.
I was tailing an American Bf 109 F-4, as he dived onto a helpless Hs.129. The catch was there was already a P-40 on tail of the Hs.129, very close behind. The 109 F-4 attempted a high deflection shot and... teamkilled the P-40, the Hs.129 absconding, unharmed. Immediately after, probably out of sheer shame, the 109 F-4 pilot jumped out.
You think that's it? No, there's still one thing to underline this tale of mastery and skill.

See that [I]one[/I] guy who actually got a single aerial victory for his team in that match? That's the teamkiller (he got the kill before engaging the aforementioned pair). The only one person who managed to get an actual kill also managed to teamkill somebody.
I am just absolutely astounded.

The biggest problem is when you use the rudder most planes will wobble back and forth for a couple seconds which makes taking shots difficult. I've been playing IL2 again recently, and it's so much easier to stay on target.

I actually think that might be faulty flightmodels which nobody bothers to fix because instructor usually obscures the issues.
