I'm wondering what happens when the big 1000 pounder bombs and beyond are able to be thrown, since those things can splash kill tanks from a fairly long range.

I haven't played this game much but couldn't they fix artillery by making artillery positions on the map and have combined battles with planes? That way the enemy planes (or tanks if they made it far enough) could come in and destroy your artillery and vice versa, making it impossible/less effective to use artillery if they are destroyed/reduced in numbers. Dunno just an idea.
Are there even combined battles with planes and tanks? I haven't played in a match where that has happened yet

Planes and tanks count, 100/50/25 kills for AB/RB/SB.
Golden Eagles (up to 1000) out the ass, assuming the servers don't die.
25 kills in SB tanks is pretty easy. Also 50% off for a years worth of premium is actually a really good deal if you plan on sticking with War Thunder long term. I've been kicking myself that I didn't take advantage of that the last time it happened. I think I still have the gold for it too.
If you buy Russian glod, this is about 25 euro for a year worth of premium. Imho a pretty good deal.
I would probably buy it if I didn't still have 220 days of premium time remaining.

I am obviously the most mature tanker.
I'm torn on Premium. On one hand, with tonks out I actually have something worth grinding again. On the other hand, nearly 50 dollaridoos is a lot to pay for something as trivial as premium game time.
I do have some geagles already though, so if I make some more during the event this weekend, I'd only have to buy ~4-5000 GE to get that discounted premium time.

Idk about you guys but I managed to kill 5 tanks in one sortie in an IL-2 during the beta, they're absolutely great to rek tanks with. Bombed a cap point which killed one, then a road with a few tanks driving down it and I managed to get two, rocket spammed another, and killed another two with those delicious 23mms

Pfthahahahaha, once, in the CBT, I dropped a 10kg bomb on a Tiger's engine deck. He burst into flames and died shortly after.

in the 2nd one it's a combination of "peanuts" and "mama" iirc - i'd tell you for definite, but i took those back in cbt and i haven't re-unlocked the tanks yet
ps: it's p cool how decal layouts were preserved even with the wipe
