Jesus christ shut up already. If you spent some time to learn the planes instead of just complaining you might actually get somewhere.
Crew Lock is the worst fucking thing when you're just trying to grind one nation.
Some dribbling child teamkills you? TIME OUT.
Someone rams you early into the match? TIME OUT.
AAA pegs your control surfaces? TIME OUT.
You do absolutely anything that involves dying too early? TIME OUT.
The system should be entirely reserved for people who manually quit early in RB, and shouldn't even exist in AB.

Radar or not, night ops should be more frequent

Clear nights with no clouds in this game look like a bad day-to-night filter, especially when compared to like, BoS (night looks sexy as fuck in that because exhaust flames)
I want night battles but I want 'em done properly

Foggy Night Thunderstorm custom battles are the most nightmarish thing.
You can't see shit. And even with arcade-esq radar, you still can't see shit.

It's possible it is just that. If you go to post processing you can put on a day-to-night filter.
Just got out of an attack on pearl harbor event. I was one of only 3 P-40's, the rest of the team (~14 players) were all bombers, at least 7 of those being Catalina's. As I was shooting down the first wave of bombers, I was rammed by an overzealous A6M2. Somehow my plane survived and I was able pull out of the death spiral that the collision sent me into, so I headed straight for the landing strip and just barely survived the landing. Then I just sat there and watched as I was strafed to death on the runway by 3 more A6M2's.

They really need to put some sort of bomber cap per team.

This video is more than a year old and they have fucked with the damage models a lot since then. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a thing anymore.
I had it happen a few times, but not in an extremely long time now.
Yea really the biggest thing WT has over WoT is that its engine isnt a peice of shit that is older than source. The world of tanks artists actually use a 3d scanning technique for making HD tanks, and their textures are pretty amazing. The engine is just the source of so much pain, from the god-awful spotting system to in a way the maps.
Also I just cant wait for ameritanks. I just watched Fury and I want muh sherman.
But wasn't Serb or Storm complaining with outsourcing the HD models that some of them were crap or not up tn standard? Seems to vary.

I wonder could such an explosion even happen IRL? Could a tracer round really ignite the fuel tank like that?
I wonder could such an explosion even happen IRL? Could a tracer round really ignite the fuel tank like that?
Knowing Murphy's Law, yes.
I wonder could such an explosion even happen IRL? Could a tracer round really ignite the fuel tank like that?
Generally not a full fuel tank, but fueltanks with less fuel tend to have a lot of fuel vapors inside, those things could explode.

There's a well known picture series of a FW 190 getting hit in the external fuel tank and blowing up, taken somewhere in Europe 1st jan 1945.
It didn't vaporize though but I bet you can image it's state after like 200 liters of potent fuel blowing up.
I have it in a book somewhere, couldn't find it on the internet though..
Rolls better turns better better energy retention higher dive speed
Acceleration is the only thing thats worse
[editline]22nd November 2014[/editline]
And even then at 6.7 the only thing that can catch you is the MiG-9/L (which nobody players either??) so it's not an issue
I got a fully upgraded f-84 so I know some of the advantages are wrong. Let's see. Roll rate is actually worse . Similar to how a sea meteor rolls. Turns better? Definitely not, energy retention? Debatable, I would say they are similar but the advantage going to the f-80c due to its sheer Acceleration advantage. In the f84b, losing energy is easier. Dive and sheer top speed you got correct. I would say the only advantage the f-84 has over the f80c is dive and top speed. And also the instructor. The f84 instructor is very smooth.
I just got a very strange kill cam of a shell coming from the air striking the ground in the middle of an empty field, killing my crew...

Your invisible crew went for a walk and got killed by a stray shell.

You were killed by an artillery round
You were killed by an artillery round
That doesn't explain the shell landing in middle of nowhere
You were killed by an artillery round
You'd think the game would show the one that hit my vehicle, instead of one striking dirt in the middle of nowhere

The F-84 rolls a tiny bit worse at low speeds but once you hit like 600kmh the F80C feels worse, I say turns better at the speeds that it's relevant for a jet to turn, F80 is better at low speed turn fights but if you do that you're dead
Also the F-84's advantages get muuuuch bigger with altitude, the F80C's performance drops off sort of
You'd think the game would show the one that hit my vehicle, instead of one striking dirt in the middle of nowhere
Maybe you got hit by long distance shrapnel? The truck doesn't have any particularly good armor on it.

HVAPHEATAPCBC Shrapnel.

won't they be pretty much useless anyways?

Depending on their vertical traverse limits, they'll be useful for anti-air weapons. Also, wasn't there talk about infantry battalion npc groups being an eventual part of ground forces?

Trucks.
Soft targets.
Open crew vehicles.
Annoyance.
Marking targets.
Rangefinding.
Cutting down trees, apparently.
No, they're pretty useful. American and Russian 12.7mms should have about 20-30mm pen depending on ammo type too.

Biggest one right there IMO, especially on Russian tanks with the 122
I abused the hell out of the coax MG on the IS-2 in Red Orchestra back in the day
