man if i was the bomber pilot i would have been laughing my ass off way too hard to even be irritated
I like how it just stopped in midair when it got hit
I have 3 tier 3 and 1 tier 4 Japanese plane (prop) so naturally I get matched vs jets.
Why are the cap points in some GF maps so fucking unbalanced? "Oh, great the only cap point A is much nearer to the enemy spawns".
I like how it just stopped in midair when it got hit
looks like a low flying Ju-87G suddenly diving due to the loss of a wing to me.
This video is more than a year old and they have fucked with the damage models a lot since then. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a thing anymore. I had it happen a few times, but not in an extremely long time now.
It's still a thing. I've been playing my hitlerbolt for the past couple of weeks and b25s and pbjs explode into a million pieces every now and then.
Why are the cap points in some GF maps so fucking unbalanced? "Oh, great the only cap point A is much nearer to the enemy spawns".
in theory, is to encourage the other team to attack using tactics such as flanking and diversion attacks yeah, right
Does anyone else hate the single point mozdok variant where you have to drive all the way across the fucking map to get there?
Don't even mention that... Not to mention when the cap is on the enemy's side of the "hill/road". It's just such BS.
The 162's new flight model Gaijin what the fuck are you doing stahp
Recommend me my first jet. Meteor, Vampire, Yak-15, Mig-9 or He-162? I have Meteor and Vampire already "unlocked". I mean that I can test flight them. Meteor looks and feels a bit better than Vampire IMO (reference that is). But then again I've played my friend's He-162 and I like it a lot. It looks so cute and badass at the same time.
Yak-15 doesnt even count as a jet really, Mig-9 is pretty terrible, He-162 is ok but has a pretty anemic armament considering its BR, Vampire is pretty good and leads to the Venom which is also pretty good, Meteor is good, but tends to shed its wings a bit easily in super high G manuvers. I'd go with the Meteor because its well armed and leads to Sea Jesus which is simply OP as hell.

The thing currently turns slower than anything else in the game.

Got three kills and whopping six assists while trying to dodge the artillery strikes. And surprisingly none of my team mates were interested in capping at all so when I died the enemy got the cap. Though it will be hell of a grind for the He.
Jet... AB... Don't do it. The only time it's acceptable to do it is to hide a single 7.0-9.0BR Russian jet in your line up and then load up on Chaikas and I-16s with rockets. It's hilarious. If you've made it to jets, it's time to put on your big-boy pants and learn to fly RB/SB. Though I highly recommend starting either of those in not-jets so you don't break the bank.

MAC's joyous comradery just earned me Offensive 30 belts on the 152 and my Go 229. All hail MAC.
if you have money problems at jet tier then perhaps you are doing something wrong
Just meant to say it'd be a waste of money? I've never had less on hand than needed for the next jet to buy, but I wouldn't be flying something like the N1K2 with a 60k repair out constantly unless I expected to wreck shit in it. I can't, in good conscious, recommend a AB player to dive right into RB jets. :v:
I dunno, jet play is considerably different than prop play, so even if you get good at props first, jets are going to be completely different anyway. You'll have to figure it out either way, just in a different order
OH YISS. http://coub.com/view/3u97a I don't care that the max pen is like 20-22mm. I want to play this.
Just started researching the cannon me 262 as my first german jet. :D

It's not always about "learning to fly in RB" it's more about finding it simply more boring. I've tried it and I've tried to like it, but I rather have the chaotic action in Arcade. Also having He-162 in your loadout is not so bad, you will reduce your BR rating to 6.3 and meet mostly prop planes :3 I can of course try them in RB once I get one of them. *shrugs*

What the fuck did the latest patch do to the IS4's turret roof? It can't be penned by anything anymore.
Parameters of the ricochet and normalization have been changed. Removed ricochet absence on small angles of attack with shell calibre being much bigger than armour. This previously led to it being impossible to penetrate an angled rooftop of some tanks.
Could someone translate this? As I get the picture that this should decrease the chance to bounce on roofs not make them impenetrable.
MiG-9 is good and MiG-9/L is overpowered now. The first Meteor doesn't lose its wings as hard as the Sea Meteor
how is the Mig-9 good now? I havent played it in a while but without boosted control surfaces it had appalling high speed maneuverability, a pretty crappy armament/ammo load (for fighting other fighters, anyway), and with those small wings pretty bad low speed maneuverability as well, plus it doesnt get G-suits. Really all it had going for it was decent straight line speed and climb rate (still was outrun by sea jesus though). I infinitely prefer the F-80C or Meteor to the Mig. I know the /L got WEP so I can see how that would help but I still get see them being overpowered. [editline]26th November 2014[/editline] also I thought the main advantage Sea Jesus had over the first Meteor was the fact that it didnt rip its wings off as much, did that change?
Yes, straight line speed and climb rate are the most important things in jets, the MiG-9 can push 1000km/h when diving, Meteors lose wings closer to 800 Sea Jesus' advantage is that it's significantly faster and accelerates better, it has much more powerful engines
I remember reading a statistic somewhere that a majority of Panthers were, ironically, killed by 45mm guns firing APCR into the side armor. Their fronts are heavy-tank stronk in War Thunder, but the sides can be shredded by SPAAGs firing AP rounds.
Sideskirts were added to panthers as anti-anti-tank rifle measures. The Russian 14.5mm could quite easily penetrate the base side armour on a clean hit.
