SMK is actually surprisingly quick and maneuverable for how huge it is

The Cranberry (best name for it Awesomecaek, really) represents what the Arado [i]should have been.[/i] A jet bomber that can outrun nearly anything it meets. Why, exactly, were Gaijin not willing to do that with the Arado but then happily implemented the B-57 and now talk of a (very well) armed variant? I hate to call bias because it would be so easy and pointless, but what are they doing?
What the Canberras have proven is that a bomber that can just outrun stuff forever is fucking terrible for gameplay and never should've been implemented

Here's why: Bomber with no guns starts game. Bombs targets Runs out of bombs goes to re-arm enemy fighters circling airbase because lel mapsize. Now Choose: Path A (what gaijin's design team expect you to do because you're an idiot and so are most F2P developers): Bomber tries to land and re-arm and gets strafed on the runway because he can't do anything to ward off the fighters. Game ends. Path B (what actually happens most of the time): In order to avoid dying the bomber flies into space away from the fighters. however without bombs he is gameplay useless as he has neither guns to fight the fighters or bombs to destroy ground targets but he is still required to be killed for the game to end. he is effectively holding the game open for his own entertainment and gains [I]ALMOST[/I] nothing from the exercise, however it's completely counter-intuitive as a player for the correct action to be "kill yourself" as it forfeits any chance in winning and progression and monetary gains from winning. [B]Stalemate for 30 minutes.[/B] There have been [B]ZERO[/B] attempts to actually fix this in any way, sure you can run, but where are you going to run to? you're stuck in an arena with your opponents with no way out! The B-57 and Canberra can easily fight at high ranks anyway because they're incredibly agile and accelerate quickly which makes them pretty great bait if they know how to play
