There's actually 4 airworthy Zeroes, but there is only 1 with its original engine. Also, did you go to both museums in Chino? The other one has some pretty cool stuff in it too.

It's not that either country's planes are better or worse, it's just that Japan's planes are ridiculously overtiered.

When I started playing WT, I've chosen to play with Japs.
I was doing average every match, sometimes better sometimes worse, but I was most of the time in the middle of my team's score ...
Was getting a bit tired of WT and decided to give last try for US planes... holy fuck... It's just so easy.
As soon as I got my first Aircobra, I was constantly top 1 in my team... It wasn't even funny, It felt really cheap for me to ramp up that amount of score without much of a problem.

yeah, saw all of them, but they weren't flying any of those, they were taxing the D4Y and they flew the replica D3A because lolpurrlharbor day
D4Y was pretty sick though, but it needs a ton of work to even get it airworthy again

Most non-zero planes of japan are not really overtiered anymore and Japan has the best late era 4 lineup in the game.
I hate premium planes that have differing origin nations than the country they're in.
Example, japanese 109s and russian p63/p47s. It totally fucks me up on how I know to counter those certain countries.
Honestly Cobras should've been default in the USSR tree and premiums for the Americans, as the USSR used them the most
Since they gimped their high altitude performance, Cobras aren't really all that critically different from Yaks anyway. A bit more high speed handling and energy retention with worse low speed handling and worse guns, but the core idea of rather versatile fighter stays the same.

Berezin 12.7s are absolutely lethal compared to .50. Don't get me wrong, the fiddy is great if you have four, but even the singular berezin can make a fucking mess.
The cermet round tends to do pilotshots from all angles and for having burst mass of a wet fart, you can still set things on fire inexplicably easily. It's mainly tangible in Simulator.
If Soviets ever did a plane with 8 Berezins ala Thunderbolt, it would be fucking murderous.
Not to mention that regardless of how many fiddies you got, the NS-37 is unconditionally one of the best guns in the game and you need nothing but that to just destroy everything.

its tremendously difficult to resist the urge to hold down the trigger and go BLA-BLA-BLA-BLAT

If you're flying the one true Cobra you only have two 12.7s but that doesn't matter because the 37 only takes a bit of practice

Raiden and 20mm Hayabusa were in, not sure about the K-14.
I never even managed to get a game in the planes unfortunately, because they didnt give out free glod to convert XP.

K-14 is basically "in the files" and ready to go, but they've said nothing about it.
Comically, B-29 is ready to go model/texture wise, but they're still reluctant to up and add it for obvious reasons. Probably because they want contemporaries for other nations.
