As discussed before, Chaffee is a 1944 tank that's objectively worse than the 1942 Sherman, having genuinely no in-game advantage. And that's just within one nation.
Timing of vehicle design, production, and god forbid, introduction of vehicles, is absolutely irrelevant in the game's environment.
Date of introduction isn't even really historically accurate either because a lot of vehicles were used for a huge length of time (A6M[B]2[/B] production occured from 1940 to 1945, F6F was used into the 1960s) or were very limited on introduction (Fw190s didn't hit Russia until very late '42 when they had been in use against Britain since late '41)
So you have something that's neither balanced nor historical and we are back to square one

I put 5 rounds into the turret knocking out loader, commander and others. 4 other tiger tanks were already surrounding me. I do no damage to the side of a tiger tank. A different round would have done nothing.
German tanks are way, way under battle tiered.
How to win Era 3 tank games as USSR:
1) Put Yer-2 into a slot
2) Hopefully do enough damage in your first tank to unlock a plane
3) Equip 1000kg bombs
4) Remove Tiger
With tanks, unless you're using APHE rounds (in dead-center of crew compartments) or fuckhuge HE rounds, [highlight]stop fucking expecting tanks to instantly die when you shoot them.[/highlight]
Focus on disabling the entirety of the crew, and/or the gun barrel if you're unsure of how fast you can kill them.
Dead barrel + dead engine = target practice.
Dead gunner + dead driver = 10 seconds of target practice.
Dead crew = dead tank.
If you "kill" a crew member, the ghost of Christmas fuckyou takes over and lets them keep working, but 'slong as you hurt [I]all the other guys[/I] in some way, you get a kill regardless. This is how you properly fight things like Tigers with 57mm cannons, instead of shooting the same spot multiple times after you've done your damage there.
The only, and [B]ONLY[/B], exception to this is ammo racks. If you locate one and think you can pound it enough, you'll get an instant-kill.

Not if you're in SB. You only lose as SB as USSR. Oh and I'm not in a kv-2, I'm in a kv-1 zis so, it's 1 battle tier under a tiger. Properly balanced :^)

I die in one shot in my kv-1 zis against tigers all the time, so. Oh and it's at a distance too, full frontal armor. They can shoot me in the turret and it still kills me in one shot, np.

Maybe if you stopped whining and blaming the game, you would start doing things like:
1) Not bringing out a KV-1 ZiS-5 if you keep seeing Tigers and dislike that.
2) Stop engaging (better) heavies frontally, even in another heavy.
3) Take small bit of time to realize that the KV-1 [I]does[/I] actually have a weak frontal turret if you know where to shoot.
4) Actually utilize the fucking armor and module viewer to get an idea of where you should be best shooting rather than applying WoT logic.

Opinions:
The KV-1 is a shitty tank at 3.7 (L-11 is completely terrible imo, like a really slow T-34 1940. You can pierce either side of the mantlet on the turret with the 50mm on the 3.7 Pz 3's without having to use even APCR at ~250m) and 4.7 BR (I don't have any experience with the Zis-5 but I imagine it's a similar story facing Tigers). Historically it was fighting early Pz 3 and 4 (and 2) in 1939 which could do absolutely nothing against it (it and the sudden influx of thousands of T-34s was kind of the reason for the Tiger's existence). I'm not really sure why anyone would want to use either of them.
I'm also of the opinion that the T-34 line (1940-42) and the Pz 3 line (J, L and M) really need to be balanced against each other a bit better. Either raise the BR of the T-34s by 0.3 each (why does the 1942 have a higher BR than the 1941 when the only difference I can see is a different turret and the driver's hatch being thicker?) or/and fix the Pz 3s so that they're all not the same BR despite each one being direct upgrades from the previous model

Tried it. Don't do any damage, even to the skirt, and below it. The best AP round for KV-1 ZiS does squat.
