So do planes effect your average BR for simulator tank battles?
If it does thats dumb.
Also, the Su-122 has a BR of 4.7, not 3.7.
Oh right, AB, missed that.
Still 1.0 stretch to Tiger.
[editline]31st December 2014[/editline]
Unless it changed in the last update, it's still 3.7
3.7 in RB, 4.7 in AB.
3.7 in RB, 4.7 in AB.
Well shit that's new, it definitely used to be 3.7 in AB
Well shit that's new, it definitely used to be 3.7 in AB
Yeah, part of latest BR change.
EVERYTHING is forced to go against Tiger Is specifically because of how overplayed they are.
I dunno, I queue up with a squad of 3 T-34s and the regular KV-1 and I usually get into matches where I'm just shoveling poor M3 Stuart corpses left and right
at least they are sticking to kills this time and not wins
I swear those "GET 10 VICTORIES" challenges make me want to throw my computer out the window
MOTHERFUCKERS
I'm starting to think buying the IS-1 was the wrong choice.
I am going against King Tigers, Jagdpanthers, and I am just getting my tiny little green tank thrown into a shitpile.
I am sad. I don't see why I am going up against things exactly 1.0 BR above me, seems a bit excessive with tanks, all things considered about the armor differences, round penetration/values, it gets a lot more unfair than planes do.
Could have sworn you guys said I'd be getting pissed on in the IS-1 as well
i didn't listen i am stupid
Yeah, part of latest BR change.
Oh well, I finally bit the bullet and spent about 400k lions on the T-34-57, KV-1 ZIS-5, and KV-2 (and debating whether to buy the SU-85) since buying expert crew is half off right now
I've got a pretty good 4.7 lineup now
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/56709/
Just a little heads up, there's a pretty darn good deal on the War Thunder Mega Pack on steam atm.
18.000 lions, 4 airplanes, 2 tanks, and nearly 4 months of premium for 46 local currencies! The same price as 10.000 lions in the Gaijin store. Sadly I already own an Ace Advanced Pack, and for some imbecellic reason I can't get just the lions and premium, so it's not much good for me.

on the bright side the IS-2 does actually wipe the floor with a lot of those tanks if you can get good at the ballistics of the 122
the IS-1 has no right being at 5.7 when the IS-2 is a 6.0
also get the SU-100 it's amazing
I got the R2Y2
600 rounds of cannon is glorious but my wings keep levitating to another dimension as soon as I hit ~88mph with it
also get the SU-100 it's amazing
...Once you unlock the ammo upgrades, anyway

bro the T-34-57 is 100x better than the 85 against tigers and panthers
the T-34-57 is practically a hard counter to tigers

These are typically the match results
I am stock without upgraded ammo, but still, it's pretty ridiculous
I'm not trying to start a whole shitpost fling again about how shitty I am at the game, I realize I'm not fucking pro
but this match making seriously is construed as fuck, and most of the time I'm getting matches where I just cannot do much to help carry the team
I can give you more;
[img_thumb]http://i2.minus.com/iRY1Wqo0yOTQu.jpg[/img_thumb]
Doesn't help that I was team killed at the beginning of the round but still, this is pretty fucked if you ask me
I am researching the Hs.129B-3 just to fuck around in GF battles, anyone got experience with it?
Which ammo is better? Regular AP-T or HVAP-T?
Yeah the 57mm T-34 is pretty good, the penetration is quite high and with a bit of memorisation you should be able to snipe gunners and dri-

They nerfed the 75 into the ground, making it actually worse than the 50mm at destroying tanks

Getting stuck on things is fairly easy, it's happened to me a few times.

Thanks for the link to that bundle deal, totally worth it. (I had no bundles at all.)

This is the result of an IS-1 in a match without tigers. No idea how I lucked out, but it did seem that everyone was using Russian tanks exclusively.
(I had no bundles at all.)
I had all those bundles ;-;
I actually think I have an unhealthy amount. For a long time, instead of buying more premium by itself, I'd just get a bundle instead.
I am actually considering buying a talisman for the Pz III ausf M, I just love my little MBT.

Did it affect the German modified KV-1, 'cause I haven't had any problems using it recently.

From my experience, they did nerf it too.
From my experience, German 75mm L/43 and L/48 are still some of the best guns in their rank, you just need to actually aim to do damage.

This. The guns are really great guns as long as you don't try to rely on the after-penetration explosion like you can with some of the American and Russian guns.
So earlier my Panther was knocked out by a Spitfire, that's fun I guess.
People should just look over the tanks and look at where ammo locations are. It's not like you need to memorize every tank, many of them share or have similar ammo locations since they're all variants of the same tanks. The list seems long, but it's actually pretty simple. If you look at the models in game it will become pretty clear that it's pretty simple.
Russians:
- T34's like to surround themselves with fuel and use ammo for seats. (Literally, the entire floor under the turret ring is an ammo rack).
- T44/54 no longer sits on ammo, but now has a big block in the front right (think of it as if you were sitting in a car) of the tank between the first and second wheels (are they still called wheels?)
- KV's are similar to T34's but also have ammo in the turret and in the same front-right spot as T44/54.
- IS series has ammo consistently in the turret. Different variants have different amounts of ammo scattered around on the floor. Most consistent spots are the floor directly under the center of the turret and under the front of the turret ring on both sides.
- SU/ISU's, just aim for the back of the casemate (turret type structure above the tracks) level with the rest of the rear of the tank, and you'll probably hit ammo. If from the front, the left/right edges of the "turret" type area above the tracks.
Germans:
- Pz III's turret crew like to keep their feet warm with ammo.
- Pz IV's like putting ammo on top of their tracks at the front/back of the turret ring depending on if it's a short or long barrel. They also like putting ammo behind the machinegunner or driver; machinegunner if a C-F model, Driver if it's a G/H model. J is the only "unique", their track ammo is now in the middle of the turret ring above the tracks, and also has ammo between the driver/MG.
- Pz V's have ammo in all previously mentioned Pz IV spots (excluding J), with the addition of more vertical ammo near the rear of the turret ring on the sides of the tank. The ammo behind the driver/mg is a bit thinner and more toward the sides than the center.
- Tiger VI's, Just shoot above the tracks and you'll probably hit ammo. This thing is basically lined with ammo.
- Tiger II's, Above the tracks under the turret, and more in the rear of the turret. If you have enough penetration, (from the front) you can probably just shoot to the left/right of the barrel and probably hit ammo that's stored in the back of the turret.
(German TD's like to move their shit all over the place)
- Stugs have ammo at the back of the casemate on the floor, and in that "front right" spot that T44/54's have, but above the second wheel.
- Jagd/Panzers have returned to their "ammo above the tracks" roots, and also have a set towards the center sides.
- Just shoot a Jagdpanther in the side of the casemate and watch the fireworks. From the front, aim for the edges.
- Ferdinand is weird so screw describing it decently. In both the center and rear side of the casemate.
- Jagdtiger returns to it's origins, under the casemate above the tracks, and on the floor in the center of the tank.
The list may seem long but that's because I restate things sometimes. In the end they share quite a few ammo locations. It's probably easier to just look at the models than rely on these vague-ish descriptions, but these are more to point out that you don't need to remember each tank independently.
