Yeah, if you're playing Arcade.
Gunpods = weight = less maneuverability = less climb = GUNS AREN'T IMPORTANT IF YOU CAN'T GET THEM ON TARGET
Basic maths.
I can take a B-17 and cover the front in 120 M2 Brownings. That won't make it a good plane.
These achievements for the premiums are starting to annoy me. They're not even that hard, but all I get are the lions.

excuse me but that sounds fucking amazing I'd fly the shit out of that

It'd be hilarious, but you'd never get it on target of anything except another bomber, so..?
Think the Ruskies did that with a few attackers early on. I believe one had 12 ShKAS in front.

with 120 fucking M2s "getting on target" would be as simple as pointing your plane towards germany and pulling the trigger :v:
instead of gun convergence just use divergence and have the guns firing in a big shotgun pattern in front of the plane
I'm surrounded by Orks.

Tanks is one thing, but planes is another. In Realistic/Simulator, it literally does not matter how many guns you have if you can't get them on a target.
Tanks, I don't even give a shit. Awesomecaek and I mused over the concept of what would've happened if the M3 Lee was actually loved more after the Africa Campaign and they developed it further. Like, next in line would have a enlarged turret with a British 2-Pounder. Then later, a full-sized turret with 75, and a 105 howitzer or 90mm gun in the hull. Nearing the cold war, you'd have 152mm+ actual cannons shoved in the hull on flanked on either side ala WWI, and a proper 105/120mm cannon in the turret.

I agree
more bullets = more fun

orrrrrrrrrrrrr just take that into account and leave a wider turning circle/climb higher to dive on them
you guys can orkshit as much as you want
My aim is not perfect, realistic/simulator is hard
if I can spam more shots for the limited 200 cannon/300 bullets I have for one engagement, I want the maximum heading onto the target I am trying to hit
there are a multitude of things that can throw off my aim (altitude, enemy fighters, flak, nerves, speed etc)
does not come down to lack of skill, this is how military engagements are fought

unlocked the lee before, it's good I like it
The chaffee is way too much fun, I love this tank
Don't know why you'd use the sherman over it
[editline]4th January 2015[/editline]
The "armor" maybe?
What makes it fun?
I mean, even ignoring the lack of armor (which does matter when you get bombed/shelled by artillery), Chaffee reloads slower and doesn't seem to handle much better.
Forgot if this was posted here before: [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/etR7wm.png[/t]

I support this notion.
Doubling the turrets has in fact: also doubled the fun. Tripling the turrets exponentially increased the returns of fun as well.
gotta say I agree with mr. surrounded by orks there
When I flew the Bf109s, I preferred to go without gunpods cos they just slow you down both when maneuvering and when climbing
One 20mm is more than enough for tearing apart yaks
You just gotta learn to shoot
Ahh I am having so much fun in the SU-122 but my game keeps crashing at the worst of times
I spawned in on a Break match, right in front of a F2 at his side, blew through it and the round passed out the other side to knock out the other tank making it useless right beside him
and then I crashed
then I swore, a lot.

from this discussion I have been able to derive the following highly scientific and accurate equation:

where:
FU = Fun Units
GUN = Caliber of gun, in millimeters
nT = Number of turrets
m = Mass of vehicle, in kilograms
v = top speed of vehicle, in meters per second
[editline]5th January 2015[/editline]
dont question the inverse in the denominator or you will be send to gulag

I am sorry but I am actually coincidentally studying for physics exam I have tomorrow and I cannot not question that inverse in the denominator
Getting your last tank bombed 10 seconds after you spawn is literally the fucking worst.

I hope you remember the film coefficient of skin and your thermodynamics lessons comrade because such things will come in handy when you are calculating how not to die of hypothermia in siberia
The Jadgpanzers are tough to play. Constantly getting one-shotted. My driver, gunner, and commander all sit in a line

Talkin' to the guy who decided to convert an A-10 Thunderbolt into an Apocalypse ground-attack aircraft, partially assembled said A-10 and said to myself "...No sir, this gun is far too small." and slapped a surplus Stompa Supa-gatler into it.

Dunno If I'm the only one to notice it but increasing crewman vitality turned them into living spall-liners, I've noticed much less module damage on my veteran crews.
Ah, Era II American tanks.
That sweet supple reminder of
WHOEVER THE FUCK THOUGHT PARTS AND FPE NEEDED TO BE UNLOCKED SHOULD BE FUCKING FIRED.
When I unlocked my first Sherman I got first place in the round by getting shot once and becoming a static gun emplacement
I even got my last kill with the MG after the main gun was knocked out
