your ammo being damaged isn't a matter of a single thing being fucked up, it is a matter of multiple rounds being fucked, and having to fix them

I'm of the opinion that I'm playing a fucking game and I want to have fun, not be crippled for the rest of the match/join a new match just because a game that can hardly be called a simulator at its best has really fucky mechanics.

To be fair, I've been -that guy- before. Only because I was already just starting a 2 minute repair and figured the guy who shot previously deserved the kill, and not the vulture who found me.

I do that too. Flying around, take a hit to the elevator or some other crippling hit. Usually I just let it crash to the ground in the off chance I can get enough lift with flaps/dihedral, but I still might as well be dead. If I see someone else approaching I'll bail out so the original guy will get the credit.
So, which ammo type should i use in my B-17G?
I've been using universal and armorpiercing. But the only difference i see is that the universal rounds has a higher chance to set the aircraft on fire and the armorpiercing just goes through
I'm the really awful guy who will ram an enemy plane if he knows he's going to explode, it's really, really cheap but it may have been patched out since the last time I played planes.
If my plane is fucked I will kamikaze when possible

First match in the tiger, not only was it another shit team, the first hit that I took (from an 85, surprise surprise) hit my lower plate and it somehow destroyed the turret ring along with the transmission. Ah, the bias in the air.

It's even worse for IS-1 tbh. Any turret penetration leads to ammo rack or 2/4 of your crew dead and turret/gun destroyed.

85mm was specifically fielded with the reason "we need something that will counter Tiger" and it was what indeed killed Tiger most of the time

57mm was same deal, just didn't get used much because it lacked the universal ability to fuck up dug up nests with HE and the AP ammo was expensive.

ZiS-2 57mm also entered service a year before Tiger so there's no reason why in War Thunders alternate reality of "We cannot use not-self-propelled AT guns" they wouldn't put them onto a T-34 chassis earlier or something.

Fuck it, just gonna run the prem jagdpanther to get the exp for the real Panther - not gonna touch this garbage with a stick.
Well, the Panther was considered better then the Tiger so.. yah.
Well yes Panther completely blows Tiger out of water in the game and imho Panthers are as well better than King Tigers, too.

If you think the BT7 is great wait until you play the T-50. I regularly bring it out during 3.3/3.7 matches where I lose my KV and SU-122 and proceed to do better.

Pack Value? Couldn't tell you off hand.
T-34 Prototype is literally a copy of the first T-34 (1940?) on the tree with an extra spotlight. That said, the first T-34 gets pretty nice tiering and is easy to play.
The T-34E is unusual. It has more armor on the sides than the front, and it has the same BR as the last T-34 (1942?) which has a better turret. A lot of people play it incorrectly and drive straight at people which is fucking retarded - same armor there as any other T-34. I rather like the way it looks and it gives nice rewards, so there's that. The spaced armor might help against HEAT and HE, but only retards and people with the stubby 75s use HEAT, and 122/152 HE will still probably kill you.
