Or they actually should rework markers in RB. The ability to see the enemy through trees and grass makes it hard for both the gunner and the target.

I think SOME sort of feedback should stay because the tanks had aggregate sight lines from multiple people in the vehicle. In RB the tags definitely shouldn't show up behind trees/foliage but that's hard to technically implement.
In SB there should be some hindrance to who and how appears on the map, but it shouldn't be removed.
I want a F6 Hellcat with radar
Aced SU-100. Best era 4 soviet tonk by a long shot atm and probably absolutely best Soviet tank destroyer.
The stock ammo is terrible, the second round is a straight up upgrade and the D round performs almost exactly like the standard long 88mm shell (fucking good). I usually bring a 50/50 load of the D round and the B round, the B round seems to have a bit more destructive force and normalize a bit better, although the D round keeps amazing penetration even at extreme ranges.

He means that it's very roughly made and not really a simulator at all. Go into realistic, turn off the HUD, and right click to zoom in. Bam, you are playing SB.

Tank players must manually place a marker on the map. Problem solved, NEXT!
People who take the CR.42 and the He-51 into high rank tank battles because they have nothing better make my Yak-9T extremely happy.

I sort of meant to say SB as a whole is rough, not just tanks, as in gameplay.
Yes, tanks are easy to drive in SB currently because there's no manual gear shifting or anything - the zoom function is literally what's being used to simulator a commander view, which means you're at at about a 45-55 degree FoV which a lot of people (me) hate. Normal view is almost 90 degrees. The map still calls out targets, so it becomes a game of camping (or cautiously moving) and eying the map the entire time. I find it pretty boring in it's current state.
RB would benefit vastly from a no auto-spotting system, but still allowing nametags/"spotting" if you look at a target for a bit (and have it switch off after a bit when you look away.)
I'm 90% certain the current spotting system is a place-holder, as it's basically "LoS? Spotted. Forget that it's 2km away through a tree." When they tweak it to be acceptable, AB/RB will greatly benefit.

skip the first minute or so. this game is great.
Hurrah, it seems today's patch has fixed my crashing issue. Managed to play several games without crashing, yay.

This guy flanked me, but his crew/ammo was so fucked he just sat there for a minute unable to load a new shot in, before one of my teammates blew his turret off. I felt bad for him.
They should add in tank objectives that aren't capture zones. As it stands anyone trying to cap might as well paint themselves bright pink and announce in chat "Please just cover my general area with bombs".
Mixed battles.
Are so.
Good.
I love all these Russians flying planes, pretending they're helping as we get effortless wins.
Planes should really have respawns.
my god
the pz4f2 is pure sex

Welcome to the club!
Next goal: Ace everything. :v:
13 player kills last game
i love dis tank man
The most kills I've got in a game was my first T26 match ever :v: Haven't even done nearly as well since.

I don't get satisfaction from acing vehicles I don't like, I kinda feel like most vehicles just don't deserve that amount of attention.

It's a masochistic thing, really. It's easy down at Era I/II; but ask me about the F-82E/Mossie XVIII.
[sp]They're fucking suffering incarnate. Can't wait for the P-80A and F-84[/sp]
Also, these Tigers. Facing their front plates at me, unangled, and then crying when my 85 asspounds them.
Someone explain to me how tailguns work. Am I supposed to lead the target or am I supposed to literally just point the reticle at the enemy plane, assuming there's some kind of autocorrect?

This has been BEYOND frustrating for me since I started playing and I still don't get it.

It depends on where the enemy plane is and what speed you're going compared to them, since you aren't actually looking from the perspective of the gunner but instead from a fixed camera at the center of the plane
You might have to point it behind them, in front of them, or directly on them depending on these factors

Yeah well duh that's why it's so unbelievably and arbitrarily difficult.
It's not difficult, you just need to understand how it works. Gunners are so incredibly easy to shoot shit down with that I can't even stand to play bombers
Yeah well duh that's why it's so unbelievably and arbitrarily difficult.
I've found that provided you're moving in the same direction and at roughly the same speed, you can pretty much aim at them/at the lead marker if you're an arcade scrub like me and you'll hit, provided you have a gunner there of course
However, if there's any kind of speed or angle difference the lead marker becomes useless and thus the whole deal basically becomes a crapshoot. I find unless I'm trying to drive-by soft ground targets it's pretty much just more productive to let the AI do it than to attempt it myself
Especially since with good gunnery skills planes like the B17 and B25 become mobile flak batteries for how accurate their gunners are
I figured out with my default ammo types in the Pz IV F1, that I can kill t-34s by shooting HE shells under their tanks
[editline]30th May 2014[/editline]
Just 1 shot under them and kaboom, they blow up
This bothers the shit out of me:

The MG is static on the Pz IV G, but the mantlet that covers it is not.
Why does that tank look so clean/new?
