The engine is basically a massive block of steel between you and anything that will kill the tank. At most, shoot the back plate once to destroy the engine and then hit the back of the turret/turret ring for real damage.
Joystick finally ate shit. I bought it back in 2009 or so which means it was due to be replaced anyway. The Z and X axis sensors were off and now the entire unit died.
Just a reason to get a new one.

I'm using the same Microsoft Sidewinder I was using in 2002. Hat-stick is fucked but everything else on it is fine.

I have a book on stories of Spitfire pilots and one guy was observing for naval artillery on positions on the coast of France, and he said that he got so close to one of the 155mm shells the air shoved his wing downwards and almost stalled him.

Theres been recorded incidents of planes getting hit by artillery during WW2, iirc I read one where there was a bomber raid that had a B-25 get shot down by american artillery.

No, it appears that all they are doing is tweaking modes, adding duels and removing squadron battles from Sim for the most part.
Something similar happened to me. Certain faces disappeared on my KV1.
Anyone noticed that icons on the minimap are more pronounced/ easier to see than they were when Ground Forces went open? I just today noticed this while playing, and I'm not sure when the change was implemented or if it's just something I changed graphically.

It feels like the Germans can't pen you frontally at all so they tend to destroy your gun so you can't shoot anymore, on the side and rear it's the same as any tank.

Something weird yet cool happened. I was spectating a Tiger, when his angled front got penetrated by an IS-1's 85mm. The round bounced from the inside of the tank and came out the side armor, going through the ammo rack on the way and brewing up the Tiger, and then hit a rock nearby. Must have been APCR or something.

Only have it because it's the CW campaign meatshield of choice, i never play it in randoms. Probably one of the best tier8 heavies though.

I don't see the models. You guys want a list? Models usually verify that they're in/work. Strings just note that they were in progress at some point (IL-28, B-29, H-75)

in other news; the T-60 is so much fucking fun to play. load up with APCR and you just wave your fucking gun around an enemy tank and turn their crew into a fine pâté, plastered all over the interior of their tank. as an added bonus, being shot by it seems to completely tank (pun not intended) most people's FPS, so you can use that to daze them and get up their butt to apply the dakka.
