Does the dev version have a schedule like the closed beta had?
Does the dev version have a schedule like the closed beta had?
Dev is sporadic as fuck, so no - not really. Least as far as I know of. I believe their little post states how long it's up for, for today, but they're usually not up long.

I got shot in the front gearwheel and my ammo went off. I'm about to start carrying only 15 rounds because that's about all I'll ever get off.
I just noticed, what the heck is with perspective on that photo? Why does the further away wing, including the engine, seem bigger than the closer wing?
It's very low FOV photo taken of a plane with slightly inclined wings during a roll.

you know what'd be super nice the ability to pick from, say, your last 5 battles won for a day for your victory bonus I'm really tired of having a mediocre first win that gives me fuck-all, then following it up with a massacre where I get 8-9 kills
Wait, what's the rule on exiting your craft in realistic battles at airfields? At the beginning you can do "leave plane" while sitting on your runway/carrier and it'll let you respawn with different plane settings. I just did that, although I spawned on a carrier and landed at a friendly airfield, and it just deleted my craft and booted me to spectate.
You have to be fully repaired, no damage, I believe.
Yeah I suppose that makes a lot of sense. You'd just be able to skip repair times otherwise.
The double thing should count when a battle starts, not when it ends. I know it's 7PM my time, the reset. I know the match started at 6:55PM. Fuck off with your counting it afterwards. :v: [editline]11th June 2014[/editline]
Ladies and gentlemen, here's the next vessel for the accursed Twin Mustang flight model.
50% Engine Power G5N1 Turn Radius "Fighter-Bomber" with no Payload Options If Payload Options present, 30% or less of actual payload weight. Sekrit F7F-1 Prototype Model with no cannons. Damage Model comes with 95% chance to catch on fire. Fire results in entire plane explosion in roughly 2 seconds. Gonna be a good plane for sure~
I am sorry for ever shit talking the B7A2. Wow. I hope the Ki-61 hei is more of the same.
It seriously bothers me that captured Bf109s flown by Americans are allowed to fly early-war Japanese missions.

Holy shit, that thing has a huge cannon! I don't really play the game that much, what's the plane model? I wonder why it has that thing.
It's the naval version of the B25 fitted with a big ol 75 gun used to pop ships. Which it cannot do ingame, far as I know
It reminds me of this video:
It reminds me of this video:
Now take a wild guess at who made that.
Anti-Shipping Planes in game: Mossie XVIII PBJ-1H Various Others Planes that can actually damage ships (not cargo/landing craft) without bombs/rockets: .
I think you are misunderstanding what kind of anti-shipping are we talking about here. Mossie XVIII was specifically for sinking SUBMARINES, which are practically unarmored and even a really small hole on the top is a pretty big deal. The PBJ-1H was more versatile but it was pointed out back then that the cannon never was exactly super useful at anything and they mostly used bombs. Some if the huge cargo ships can be destroyed with 20mm/37mm guns and get instapopped by the big cannons. I am pretty sure that all proper warships bigger than torpedo boat were armored enough to endure 75mm shells, otherwise planes like PBJ would be more common rather than being kinda exotic. Plus warship battles would be very very fast.
I always assumed it was for cargo ships, the kind of tonnage a flight of PBJs could pounce and not worry too hard about being shot to shit.
I think you are misunderstanding what kind of anti-shipping are we talking about here.
I'm not sure if you understand that the Mossie XVII can't damage any ship bigger than a infantry landing craft in game. It can't kill the big landing craft nor cargo ships without multiple passes, to the top of the deck, if even. You'll wind up with "Hit!" and "Target Undamaged" whereas a 109 with 30mm HE can pop it in about 3-5 shots. AP rounds do dick all or nothing to boats. Cannons with HE get a free pass, and it's still easier to do a fast pass with 20-37mm HE then it is with 50mm+. This isn't really a problem except for the bongs, who don't get any HE rounds on their Tempest Vickers nor Mossie XVII. The PBJ-1H gets bombs too, so it's pretty solid. I know my deck armor. Even if a PBJ could damage it, they're still a fucking massive, slow target for any ship-bound AAA. Dive and torpedo bombers would be far safer, and smaller. Please also realize that in World War II, deck armor was 12-75mm or so. Yes, 75mm. The Yamato had 75mm of deck armor. The thing is, ships be big, and slapping that with AP (or even APHE for all purposes) won't always sink the ship - you'd pretty much have to hit something critical. This is mostly bitching about how exceptionally useless the Mossie XVII is, and for as much as they've totally fucked up American planes and their roles (the comedy of the P-38G, F-82E, F-84, etc.) the Mossie XVII stands out as a plane that it seems they didn't even really put much effort into.
Now take a wild guess at who made that.
I know, I was pointing out it was similar to that video too. You know, because of the big cannon.

One hole in Submarine through a bit you can't just lock away and you can't submerge anymore. And they STILL eventually figured out that it's better to take standard mossie and give it rockets. Ships, as you said, don't give a jack shit about holes in the deck unless you wedge the round into something important (and important stuff usually had extra armor). Maybe cannon armed anti-shipping planes were not common because they never were very good at their job!
Maybe cannon armed anti-shipping planes were not common because they never were very good at their job!
That's still not the argument I'm trying to make here, I outright agreed with it? I redirected it to: "The Mossie XVIII is terrible and has no role in the game because it's stuck with AP-T that cannot do damage to cargo ships" and that's it. Even if we want to run in circles around it being an anti-submarine plane, that's great - there's no submarines in the game. We're left with a Mosquito with no twenties, at the same battle rating that: can't effectively fight planes, can't effectively fight bombers, can't effectively do anything at sea, can't bring ordinance. What it can do is kill a few tanks/light pillboxes and spam 7.7mm to mop up. So you get pounced in AB faster than children to the ice cream truck, and in RB you're basically not contributing outside of extremely rare games with coordinated teams focusing on ground attack/bombing. It's a British Hs-129B-3, but at a higher tier with no HE. That's double bad. The only thing it might ever see light for again is when bong tanks become a thing, so it can play pretend tank strafer and get shot down while the smart people with bombs do the real work. :v:
well I thought it was obvious that the mossie is in there in sake of combined force tonk hunting [editline]12th June 2014[/editline] although, the Vicked P will be billions time better at that (and probably best cannon tank hunter period) [editline]12th June 2014[/editline] I cannot overstate how amazing the Vicked P is at it's job and hilariously enough they keep down tiering it so now it's at rank where nothing can really catch up with it on the deck. [editline]12th June 2014[/editline] it's like G stuka except with good guns and with good airframe basically it's a G stuka except good at it's job
man i cant wait to unlock my fpe and parts so i dont have to burn to death at least you couldn't buy better versions of it with gold.
man i cant wait to unlock my fpe and parts so i dont have to burn to death at least you couldn't buy better versions of it with gold.
Honestly extinguisher wise I preferred the WoT way, because you could have the cheap one instantly and the gold one was pretty much pointless. Plus fires are rarely lethal in WoT while here they always kill you if you don't have an extinguisher. [editline]12th June 2014[/editline] Besides it's not like you couldn't buy the premium extinguisher with normal credits since quite a while ago. imho the p2w levels are practically identical in the two games, while there are some worse offenses done by Gaijin with for instance the 4man squad for premium accounts. Teamplay is the most OP thing in the game and being able to squad with 4 instead of 2 is a pretty massive advantage when some matches end up with like 6v6 people.
I feel it's kinda important that there's no true pay to win beyond premium vehicles in WT, everything else is pay for progress, in which most cases you'll get your shit kicked in for trying to skip the grind which often is a part of the learning curve. War thunder had stuff like Premium ammo and kits.
