Imagine that thing in ground forces if it gets introduced with that.
It could probably carpet bomb half of the GF area.
to be fair I'd find that pretty cool in ground forces
sitting in my tank next to a friendly, notice a change on the winds
"what is wrong tank brother"

"B29s"
cue screaming, everyone powering for the nearest bridge to hide under

Then the B-29 harmlessly lawndarts in the field next to you because pubbies can't not divebomb
I would love to fly a b-29 tough
I would pay hundreds of dollars to get a B-36 in warthunder. Makes the B-29 look bite sized in comparison.

16 20mms. 86,000 pounds of bombs. RIP balance.
The launcher updated and doesn't work for me anymore - it crashes with an exception.
Same if I reinstall it.

Thankfully, before kicking the bucket, the launcher managed to patch the game so I can play until next patch at least.

Put it in, give it 4 ton max bombload
I would fly it v:v:v
Oh man starting aircraft is so awful.
The round begins - 2 min fly to the combat zone - BRRRRRR - "You'll leave the plane in 11s".
And all I want is to play bomber.

World War 2 in color. I made it when I was on a documentary watching spree a few months ago, I never actually noticed that but Shit now I see it.
also I'm looking at that and imagining the shear destruction that thing could bring in game and this happened to be playing.

At that point why not just ask for a B52 and see if they put it in for april fools
Hasn't Gaijin claimed that the reduced bombloads of certain bombers due to the understanding that high-altitude carpet bombing wasn't nearly as effective as low-altitude precision bombing? I remember it being described as AAAwasn't an effective deterrant to keep heavy bombers at higher altitudes, so being able to deliver an entire B29's bombload very accurately would be a bit imbalanced, thus the reduced load.
This could be fixed if AAA was made more effective and consistent at the same time, so that planes within a given AAA emplacement's AoA would slowly be ripped to bits and not randomly one-shotted after a solid 2 minutes of no damage whatsoever. Make low-altitude bombing a really dangerous thing to do, so that heavy bombers stay away from small targets and let light bombers and ground attack aircraft deal with them. You know, they way it actually happened.

Well they stiffened up AA considerably on the combined maps. the major issue with forcing Heavy bombers to high altitude is they become vegetables with no tactical targets to bomb.
We have strategic targets to bomb, the Airbase and the Outposts. however GAIJIN hasn't actually DONE anything with them yet.
The meta game I outlined is still possible it's just that they haven't actually implemented it fully so it's as half-there as it was during the CBT. it needs to be further developed with new maps and with that it could very easily become an extremely enjoyable and also competitive format.

The problem is that's just more incentives to rush massive numbers of strategic bombers and win matches in 5 minutes in the mode where ground targets actually matter, and honestly, that's not a terribly fun game because it is mindfuckingly hard to get a team that is either able to climb that high and intercept in time, or to destroy all the other ground targets before the bombers kill your airfields
I think the obvious solution would be to have base health scale moderately with the BR of the match, probably combined with some high-altitude flak guns that actually fire a respectable distance into the air
Actually, just a thought, but what if destroying a base prompted a few AI interceptors to appear at high altitude? I don't know how well the engine would handle that, and they'd probably be dumb as bricks and basically free kills for any fighters at that height, but it might be enough to dissuade bombers from just run to base -> run to airfield -> sip tea -> win game

Implying that we, the bombers, wouldn't try to fly right the fuck through it like we do with everything. it's unhistorical really for us to try to do anything else. this is our job M8, this is our life. fly in a box formation, shoot anything that comes near us with an entire armory worth of bullets in each plane, found an open pit mine ontop of the target, AND GO THE FUCK HOME.
It's really no worse than having to deal with player fighters, hell since the bots are retarded they'll bulldoze into our guns and give us free money.
this changes nothing and makes flying a bomber even more attractive.
Gentlemen, I've tested the P-47.
2000 ponies all the way to 27000 feet. It's time, to bring in the hurt. Dive speed acceleration has thus increased, and is now hilariously fast up there.
What an actual fuck... My KV-1 Zis-5 can laugh at almost every enemy on the map but as soon as Ausf. F2 see me - I'm a dead meat from any distance and at any angle.
While Ausf. L literally shits on every tier 2 T-34.
Pz4's are very overrated. I've never lost a straight 1v1 against a Pz4 in my T-34-57 or 1941(Or whichever that one before the 57 is).

As it should. They had its fucking turbo nerfed and the thing is a lot of people are like Pft P-47.
IT WAS THE FUCKING HIGH ALTITUDE ESCORT FIGHTER FOR MOST OF THE WAR AND SCORED THE MAJORITY OF KILLS.

AND THEN TURNED AROUND AND BECAME A GROUND ATTACK FIGHTER AND A DAMN GOOD ONE AT THAT.
I heard that it handles worse so I tested it out, I think it handles BETTER at low altitude now.

Oh man, if they buffed the roll rate I'm am going to be so happy. It goes from my number 1 top plane I like to fly, to the... top plane I like to fly with realistic FM!
They need to add more variants. I need to have more than two on my loadout.

Thank god I don't ever have to play P-47s prior to paddle prop and bubble canopy.

Welp, that was underwhelming.

Pz IV J, ZUT-37, and T-35 all in a row.
The Kugelblitz and Pz IV J (Commander) don't have functioning strings yet.
[editline]19th June 2014[/editline]
Oh and for you T-54 fans, the 1947 one is now modeled too. We currently have the 51.
FYI PzIV J was slightly dumbed down version of G because Germany realized they are losing and needed to shit more crappy tanks as fast as possible.

Didn't it have an L/48, but also a really slow hand-cranked turret?
