Ausf J was produced in mind to simplify the production by simplifying the design of Ausf H. In general, all characteristics of Ausf H were retained including weight, speed, mechanical components and armament. The first component deleted was the electric turret drive with auxiliary generator set, which resulted that the turret had to be traversed manually by hand. Its place was to be taken by 200-litre fuel tank after the production started in July of 1944. This increased the fuel capacity to 680 litres, increasing the combat range to over 300km. It is interesting to point out that German designers decided to increase the fuel capacity at the time when German Armed Forces faced serious fuel shortage problems. Problems were encountered with new fuel tanks and installations started in September of 1944. As the production continued, more modifications were made including: deletion of turret visor and pistol ports, installation of Pilze 2-ton crane mount sockets, introduction of Flammentoeter mufflers, conversion from plate Schurzen to wire-mesh Thoma type, reduction to 3 return rollers per side, installation of Naehverteidigungswaffe close defence system and ceasing application of Zimmerit paste. In addition to new modifications, numerous changes made to Ausf G and H were also applied to Ausf J.
So yeah. L/48 stayed.

Oh yes my fault I meant H, not G

Okay, I decided to give the new Hitlerbolt flight model a trial by fire and queued with a squadmate who was in a 190 D-9 (rank 5.7) in my Hitlerbolt (rank 3.7) in a RB match. I got dragged into match where most of the enemy team was cannon Bearcats.
I proceeded to kill 3 Bearcats and a corsair.
I think we have found the OP flavor of the month.
Alright, new Ar 234 Goal.
Bomb first targets on way to enemy airfield and ram planes.
Because this thing is useless in literally every other fashion, and playing it makes me realize how viciously the MM shits on German players. Not to mention how almost every German RB map auto-loses for German if left untouched. And some have a airfield that can be bombed for another instant win, whereas the enemy has two.
[editline]19th June 2014[/editline]
You know, it might actually be able to ram people if it didn't have the flight model of sun-baked dogshit dropped out of the sky, coupled with the lovely G8N1 damage model where "light pink" means "get the fuck off the controls, I'm gonna run this into the ground" - Instructor

I just got an Arado and it flies great, imo. If it had front guns it would be a great fighter.

Really? Mine wobbles like a vibrator meant for a Shire Horse and the instructor literally tries to kill you when you take any damage. I had mine, flying straight at a somewhat odd angle towards the runway, abruptly pull left into a bunch of trees with no input from me.
Sure, sitting pretty and with the bomber advantage, it might do well with some guns - but trying to climb or maneuver damaged is a fucking nightmare.
There aren't any applicable words in the English language to describe how fucking awful these German teams I keep getting put on are, either. That, or I get some really good players in 190s who have to stave of MiG-9s and Meteors. It's actually worse than flying the Ki-200 and fighting perpetual B-24D/F8F/F-80Cs all day.
I would pay hundreds of dollars to get a B-36 in warthunder. Makes the B-29 look bite sized in comparison.

Hell let's just put in the B-52 because its first flight was before the cutoff date.

Also little boy and fat man as weapons for the B-29

Excuse me sir but I cannot agree here.
Arado is imho the best handling jet aside of climbrate and speed, and I have had matches where I successfully landed and repaired with a black wing and dead engine. You just seem to be having bad luck.
[editline]19th June 2014[/editline]
Give my Arado 2xMG151s and sufficient amount of ammo I will move the planet with it.
You just seem to be having bad luck.
Maybe my game hates me, but literally every other jet I've blown has been silky butter compared to this thing. The wobble makes it feel like pre-patch 190s all over again, even in light turns. When my wing gets scratched, the game seems to think I can fly it at a 45 degree angle from where the nose is pointing from wince I'm trying to land. Couple in the Instructor occasionally yanking the thing in low speeds and it's absurdly bad.

Here's the one we should've had from the get go. Better performance (roughly by 20%), same payload, two forward and two rear firing MG151/20s.

It needs combination of gentle handling and slamming the keyboard controls. Also you can't expect it to handle too well at low speeds, it needs some speed to properly fly.
When I slam the elevator, it wobbles even worse.
I think I'm just exceptionally jaded because you really can't do anything beneficial to the team at all (bomb targets? what are b-17s) and a whopping 20% W/R doesn't make it feel very fun. Half my games consist of watching late-war props get slammed by F-80Cs and Meteors while I either waste time trying to ram or get shot on the runway.
Whenever we (my team) has almost killed off the entire enemy despite being overtiered to shit, the map wins itself with ground units or some other stupid shit happens like jets running the clock. I didn't use to be sympathetic to German teams at higher BR, but the Ar 234 changed that really fast.
There aren't any applicable words in the English language to describe how fucking awful these German teams I keep getting put on are, either
Germany is full of fucking idiots these days. Watching Doras lose dogfights to IL-10s is almost as bad as watching G-10s just nose down into the earth trying to turn fight Spits. If you do get a competant team that opens with communication and tactics, expect the entire enemy team to be F-80Cs because America needs babying again.
Man the SU-85 is a beast, holy christ!
Just finished into a 6v6 where 5 of the enemy team elected to take flak trucks over an actually useful vehicle. We had one player get into a plane and they were shot down by the AI anyway, the rest of the team only got into tanks.
How so very sad for the enemy.
How so very sad for the enemy.
The reason I stopped playing tanks is because AB's a joke and there's no sort of limiter in place to keep people in RB from playing one plane and quitting. And it happened a lot. (Or the - hey look, we have all these SPAAGs and they brought out a single plane who still killed two of us. gg no re.)
And when it's a 5 v 5 and you're one of two tanks versus a coordinated enemy squad? Pff.
Haha this new map is such a joke, they made it even easier to wreck tanks as a plane. I hope the next map will just be a canyon with all the tanks lined up ready to be bombed.

You just got lead indicator for shooting planes in a tank in RB. A fucking SU-152 can now shoot down planes without trying.
And if you have trouble surviving against planes in Simulator, you are doing something wrong.
Carpathian mountains is the best map currently in the game.
[editline]20th June 2014[/editline]
(possibly not in all it's gameplay point iterations but the map layout is the best)
Seems like all the maps are just a campy wankfest now.
Rounds are dragging on for ages now because nobody wants to get to the cap zones.

Don't forget about the people lawnmowing
Carpathians is so horribly poorly balanced, so much harder when you spawn on the north team.
Even though War Thunder tanks isnt even finished yet, I find it more fun than World of Tanks. When I get tired of tanks I can just hop in a plane and do something entirely different.

Too bad I've just been wrecking tanks with planes, nowhere did I say I was having problems with planes or whatever it is you think I'm saying.
This new map makes finding a player tank take a couple of seconds since they're either in the open or near one of the massive landmarks, and the AAA is easy to avoid.
goddamn the A6M2 is a mean money-maker in arcade
All those Hercules kills really add up, especially considering how bloody easy it is because for whatever reason 99mk1's seem to be loaded with pilot-seeking instakill shells
Guess what we might see in the future?

Panzer II Ausf. G (PzKpfw IIG)
The fourth and final suspension configuration used for the Panzer II tanks was the five overlapping road wheel configuration termed Schachtellaufwerk by the Germans. This was used as the basis for the redesign of the Panzer II into a reconnaissance tank with high speed and good off-road performance. The Ausf. G was the first Panzer II to use this configuration, and was developed with the experimental designation VK 901. There is no record of the Ausf. G being issued to combat units, and only twelve full vehicles were built from April 1941 to February 1942 by MAN. The turrets were subsequently issued for use in fortifications.
Specifications
Crew: 3
Engine: Maybach HL66P driving a five speed transmission (plus reverse)
Weight: 10.5 tonnes
Dimensions: length 4.24 m; width 2.38 m; height 2.05 m
Performance: speed 50 km/h; range 200 km
Main armament: 7.92x94 mm MG141 automatic rifle, turret mounted with TZF10 sight
Secondary armament: 7.92 mm MG34 machine gun, coaxially mounted
Turret: 360° hand traverse
Armor: 30 mm front, 15 mm sides and rear
Panzer II Ausf. H (Pz.Kpfw. IIH)
Given experimental designation VK 903, the Ausf. H was intended as the production model of the Ausf. G, with armor for the sides and rear increased to 20 mm and a new four speed transmission (plus reverse) similar to that of the PzKpfw 38(t) nA. Only prototypes were ever completed by the time of cancellation in September 1942.
And in WoT the G has uprated engine and goes like fucking 60.
If it turns out to be anywhere near as fast as in WoT, I am afraid I might have to buy it.
Everything goes faster in WT compared to WoT. Atleast it feels like it.
Fast tanks feel way faster because heavy and medium tanks aren't getting late-production and experimental engines. Except the T-34, which just feels ripshit fast in WT.
The KV-1 actually moves like a bulky hunk of metal from 1939 and not a magical big medium tank with an experimental prototype turret and 85mm gun. :v:
