Can you get a source for that? Everything I've seen leads to T-34 having 45mm of armour at 30 Degree's from horizontal, giving it 90mm of relative thickness. And the 58 degree's (if from horizontal) would make relative thickness of around 53mm of armour, but from vertical gives 85 so I'll assume that.(But it's still 2 degree's off what I've seen) Also as a side note, Hetzers were quite renowned for having shit quality steel. Forgot where I heard that one from though.
The figures he gave for armor angling are from vertical, as to find the effective thickness of a sloped piece of armor, the equation is [armor thickness] / cos( [angle from vertical] ).

I think I'm switching to RB matches for good, also I requested to join IFap, when can I expect to be added?
I think I'm switching to RB matches for good, also I requested to join IFap, when can I expect to be added?
Let me go do that right now. [editline]23rd June 2014[/editline] Done.
I like how the Jappo saber isn't actually on the tree. also god damn it the next tree is the soviets, I can't contain my clapper heritage much longer here.
Let me go do that right now. [editline]23rd June 2014[/editline] Done.
Great! Thanks!
WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE H8K? Except sort only kinda. The payload isn't ground shaking, so it's really up to the BR gods how well it will do. [editline]23rd June 2014[/editline] Oh that and it's been on the release tree forever, I estimate at least 5~ more Zero variants before we get it. :v:
I've been ready since a year and a half ago. the H8K and the Sunderland will bring about a new era in boat planes, and the consequences will never be the same.
The important thing about that list is the Shinden is on there and that makes me happy for many reasons
Since we're also getting the Wyvern, that means my two all-time favorite planes are getting in. This makes me a very excited pilot. I'm wondering where the Shinden will end up, considering it was a prototype with one flight. Japan could use a good tier IV premium, but at the same time I want it to be more common.
the H8K and the Sunderland will bring about a new era in boat planes, and the consequences will never be the same.
Hey, if you know boat plons, can you identify this thing for me? I saw it at a show and it didn't have a plaque or anything. I was too distracted getting absurd amounts of pictures of the B-17 and muscle cars to give this thing anymore than one.
WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE H8K? Oh that and it's been on the release tree forever
You sort of answered your own question lol
I hope they add a Do-24
It's a Grumman HU-16 Albatross.
Huh. Chunky fucker. Thanks for the information! I had a lot of other pictures (I removed the online gallery), but I think I recognized the rest. There were a few Nippons and a shit ton of trainers.
Let me go do that right now. [editline]23rd June 2014[/editline] Done.
How do I actually join IFAP, I'm a lazy bum who can't be assed to figure it out. [editline]23rd June 2014[/editline] Oh boy do I love the Ki-61. Fighting Mustangs and nearly winning after putting almost 200 rounds into him, only to then instantly die to the other 2 mustangs chasing me because the Ki-61's BR is way too high.
No. The in-game flag above the player reported the tank as a regular T-34-57. The entry-level Era 3 medium tank for the Russians. No APCR. I checked. A bit more research shows that the armor angling of the T-34 was indeed close to 60 degrees, though so is the Hetzer's front plate. This would equate to 85 mm vs 120 mm. There should have been no way that 57 mm Zis-5 cannon could have penetrated that. My lower glacis was hidden by the embankment over which I was firing, and I was fully head-on towards the enemy. We were at about equal ground, so he wasn't shooting down on me, and at most he can penetrate roughly 110mm of armor at best. My gun had similar penetration capabilities at worst. He penetrated 120 mm of armor five times, damaging my tank each time, while I penetrated and did damage zero times. It reeked of bullshit the second I realized it happened, and that the math backs it up is no surprise to me.
Give us a replay then I suppose, hard to tell what happened without further info.
Holy shit, some passed out sovok just won a round of kursk by idling until everyone on our team got shot down by AAA trying to kill howitzers and break the tie. Never even saw him. Sometimes I fucking hate RB.
If the German tree doesn't have the Do-335 I quit life.
I hope we get the Pe-8 soon with proper payloads. I hope we get more proper payloads period. :v:
Are they going to implement a way to not run out of ammo in Ground Battles? Playing as TD can get quite annoying in this regard.
Logi trucks! Project Reality best reality.
[t]http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx43/scfikid/1404USNAVYPB4Y2Privateer-vi.jpg[/t] Get me the Navy... WHY DIDN'T ALL OUR BOMBERS HAVE TWIN DORSAL TURRETS?
WHY DIDN'T ALL OUR BOMBERS HAVE TWIN DORSAL TURRETS?
Because they take up a fuck ton of room. After waddling around and nearly splitting my head open in a B-17, I can't imagine how people navigated the fucking thing in combat situations. If someone was manning the top turret, you'd have to squeeze and push by their position. The guy ahead of me was a bit wide and almost got stuck out the escape hatch. His first words after getting out was "Damn, these planes were not made for big people." To traverse the bomb bay is literally a one foot thick metal beam. If the hatches were open, ropes out of the way, and bombs gone, you could literally go "whoops", slip, and become a human meat bomb. Granted, it wasn't a PBY/PB2Y - so maybe those are a bit wider / less claustrophobic.

Should we make a squad again and play? It was pretty fun when we last time played
I'm up for it, but y'know we got a Steam group? We can just throw announcements on it. I'd tell you that via Steam if your link worked right. :v:
They can traverse down to shoot at shit below the plane too being basically side mounted ball turrets. neat.
Holy fuck, those are doubles? Might as well be my new pretend YB-40 Gunship if this is added. If you approach this thing at any angle other than underneath, it's the equivalent of having a Mustang shooting at you the whole time. God damn. [editline]24th June 2014[/editline]
I'm up too, whats the steam group?
IFAP - International Facepunch Air Patrol. Same as the squadron, I think. I sent an invite.
Should we go play some squadron battles? There is few squads at the moment playing
