My favored tactic for Beaufighters is to fake a headon then dive out at around 2KM and loop onto their tail. Thanks to the much-needed FM nerf for the VIc, they can't turn for shit and the rear gunner is a joke.

The tail is hinged and presumably folds up for takeoff and landing. You can see it in the close ups. I have no idea if that would work in real life.
And yeah, this movie is 90% of the reason I want to see the Shinden and any contra-rotating propellers.

After having a little break of playing this game I've decided to step up to realistic battles after getting bores of arcade, and fuck me I feel out of my depth.
I started off trying to use my rank 2 US planes that I unlocked, but I think I was getting ahead of myself a bit as I couldn't even take off without erupting into a ball of flames. So I've started off with rank 1 British planes now, and seem to be getting the hang of it.
Just stay with usa and you'll be fine. P-40's and F6F-5's are dominating tier 2 RB battles

P40's always been a beast of a plane, it's where i first sunk my teeth into RB. Teaches you really well how to conserve energy and pretty much fly most US planes, but it's a little more forgiving as a plane.
IL-2 is still the best T-2 plane if you know how to use it.

Hard to believe it used to be a Rank 2 or something plane. P-26, F2A and then suddenly 1942 era P-40 with 6 .50 cals and a decent engine. Sat comfortably in the zone where it could out turn what it could not out run.

Not only that, it can also take a fuckton of shots without losing control or stabillity.
P-40 is basically a razorback P-51.

It's still more or less that, isn't it? I haven't flown it in a while, but my friend Chonch is getting into the game and pulling me back to these lower ranks. Not a bad thing by any means, but if they nerfed my beloved P-40 into mediocrity, I'm gonna be pretty sad.

So usually my playstyle is: Fly bomber, get shot down, remember their names, and then club them with 37mm of mother russia/vengeance. I just went straight for the yak as I love the paintjob I gave it.

yeah basically what you gotta do is flip your plane on the side that will turn, then when you get it leveled out you can actually turn it to the side you weren't able to turn it to before, requires some mouse flicking so practice it a bit. No idea how it works but it does.
I still maintain the A6M2 is one of the best planes in the game
I can consistently do as well or better than my late-era planes in 5.7 arcades, which is the main reason it's still in a lineup of M5's, Shidens, and Ki-84's

I flew a P-40 home with everything black except one flap and the engine.
The British 7.7mms are useless, flying the Typhoon on realistic and I put at least 1000 rounds into a Stuka to no avail. Tips?

Get CLOSER. Don't fire until you're right up someone's ass. Set your convergence to like 200m, 150m as well.
