D-13 is pay2lose. Put a Talisman on the D-9 instead, better in every way unless you're some kind of weirdo who wants to orbit at 11km up.

The D-13 didn't get nerfed to shit it's just worse in every way (outside of situations that JUST DON'T HAPPEN IN WT) than the D-9 (which is amazing) so it's pretty redundant.
Okay is anyone else getting very bad hit detection for ground battles?
Last few matches I would end up ramming another tank, shooting it point blank and the shot doesn't even register, he would do the same and both of us would suffer no damage.
Just finished a match where there were 3 of us shooting into the side of Panther at point blank, took about 8 hits for him to die.

Okay apparently in fixing shooting through terrain and scenery, they messed up hit detection for anything below 200m.

They originaly added an additional 600kg and a flight model change (and iirc an engine change) when people complained about it being OP.
Theyve since removed the extra weight but its still not as good as it used to be.

It's not as good as it used to be purely because it has competition now. When the D-13 was king the Tempest and P-51 were shit, and Russia didn't have any top end props.

Ive gotta disagree, where I used to be able to hit 6km near the center of (that grassy open map with germany vs america) I can now only get around 4ish.
Though it may be because the game itself has changed, ie the plane handles like shit now due to speed being a factor when turning etc its still definitely not what it used to be.

With this update still a ways, and the unknown cost of the T-35, I might just get that talisman for the Tu-2S-59. I can't imagine how much RP it would shit.

To be fair, it takes like, 4 shells at most to down a plane. 50rpg is enough to get 2 or 3 fighter kills easily, it just depends on the BR of this thing.

How is the D-9 better than the D-13? Performance? German 13mms are pretty anemic and I'd rather have 3 x 20mms.

Because 1x20mm is plenty (like on the G-10) the guns are irrelevant.
D-9's engine is tuned for low-med alt engagements, D-13's outputs the most power at something like 9km up? D-9 is closer to 4km, so it's way better at the altitudes people actually fight at.

Peshka's just a solid money maker. It doesn't the classic 8 x 250kg payload, but it still has six bombs which is good to pop lights with. Also airbrakes. I love airbrakes.

It's not bad, but you're better off getting the non-premium Tu-2s and slapping a talisman on them. Far better payloads and being in IV will net you better rewards towards the jets.
