Prepare yourselves, for this might be the most hilariously horrible doom wad ever made.

I remember UAC Military Nightmare. It was one of the best joke wads ever.
I played Brutal Doom for a while, and holy shit it's brutal
i want to learn to make some new weapons.

The most I know is that you'll need a resource editor. You might wanna ask on Doomworld forums.

You might also want to check out DECORATE.
I've got a server set up if anyone wants to play. The wad is 2002: A Doom Odyssey and the IP is 69.245.23.73.
Also, it's an open server so anyone can join. If you want me to password it just tell me.
Only played the first 2 or so maps before I was dragged away but it's a good pack so far!

Bah don't sweat it. Had to take the server down anyway due to company. If anyone wants, I can leave it up.
Is that the same mod as this?

no thats from the actual doom alpha
no thats from the actual doom alpha
ubertaco's actually right while you're sorta right at the same time; Evil Unleashed is a mod recreating the original alpha and plans based off of the Doom Bible's descriptions and guidelines. Those pics are whole new stuff based and centered around the designs and layouts of the original alpha designs (although they're probably going to have to start working from scratch when it comes to later episodes or such).
That's correct. Episode 1's maps will be based on alpha maps, redesigned around descriptions from the doom bible. Episode 2 and 4-6 will be designed from scratch. (Episode 3 is essentially a more corrupted, hellish version of Episode 1 where demons have completely taken over Tei Tenga)
The gameplay videos aren't at all representative of what things will be like when we're done (they're already completely different as is) since Episode 1 is being redesigned.
Anyone wanna set up a server?
so far, ive loved every level in any wad that has heretics E1M1 as the music.
i dont know why, it just has that something in it.
Thought about finishing my collection of old Doom/Quake games by getting the Quake 1/2 mission packs and Heretic/Hexen. I'll hope they go a little lower, but I know they won't.

Sure does.
Hmm, a Doom hi-res texture pack. (no sprites changed, just world textures)

Someone remind me, in the original doom, are the Baron of Hell and Hellknights the only monsters that cannot be damaged by their own fireballs?
Just curious, because I've been playing some custom maps with Brutal Doom that have some huge amounts of revenants, mancubuses, etc and Revenants can't be hurt by Revenants, and so on. It makes some of the maps kinda insane to play without infighting.
The only species that can infight among themselves (without using the barrel trick) are those with hitscan attacks and Lost Souls. The former fact only allows same species infighting among Zombiemen, Shotgun Guys, Heavy Weapon Dudes, SS Nazis, and Spiderdemons.

Alright, thanks! Looks like I'll just need to get over my need of killing every single demon in a given map.
So I'm kinda hoping that bumps with relevant content are okay because I just realized I have one hell of a treat for you guys that I don't believe has been posted at all.
It's all of the DOOM 1 & 2 songs remade: http://www.mediafire.com/?kn4d20xnspalvru
Just make folder called "Skins" and dump the WADs into that. They'll play for the Doom/DoomII/TNT/Plutonia IWADS.
Note: Not made by me, I downloaded it some time ago and I cannot for the life of me remember where I actually found it.

Bumping is fine as long as you're actually contributing to the thread. Which you are indeed doing.
The entire Doom Complete Pack is on sale in Steam for $8.74 today. It includes the following: Ultimate Doom, Final DOOM, DOOM II, DOOM 3, DOOM 3 Resurrection of Evil, and Master Levels for Doom II.
What's the best Doom 3 Co-op mod?
Last man standing is a good mod.
I've been playing a mod called Hideous Destructor a lot lately, it's a tactical-realism mod with some wacky things thrown in.
I really like how it forces you to play very carefully as you now bleed and you're just as squishy as zombiemen now, which are actually some of your most lethal foes due to their hitscan weapons.
You can choose a class at the beginning but it only affects your starting loadout AFAIK. Healing up might be a little confusing so to clear things up, when the screen flashes red, you're bleeding. Use a medkit from your inventory to stop the bleeding, sometimes you need to use multiple medkits. You heal automatically over time but you can also use stimpacks to boost your health a little.
Is there any mod that changes the weapons and textures to be more like Doom 3? I love me some consistency.
Well I caved and bought Doom 3. Anyone know of some good map packs?

They're different universes, why do you needed consistency.
