Right then, bumping becuase I just recently found out that one heck of a gem has been released for about 4 months now.
That gem is called...

All vanilla, some of the most incredible mapping I've ever seen. Some of these maps are huge, but not pointlessly huge. It's just incredible.
Might want to middle click the thumbnails for larger screenshots, since FP is weird with displaying full images.

Strange, the HUD is so big, it shouldn't be like this. By the way this looks so cool! And thanks for the help: somehow it was that way, very weird :v:
the HUD remind me of Terraria, the greyish blue background.
My god, I just downloaded brutal doom recently. Pretty much transforms Doom into Violence: The Game.

To me Doom was always just violent fun. I feel BD just takes it a step further in that direction.

The HUD is from [WIP] NC HUD v1.14, there's also vanillaDOOM and Accessories to Murder versions as well. Also, I had "hudscale 1" on, since its usually quite tiny. As in, eye-strain tiny. Personally I like it since you can see everything easily, and with the color coding, you can tell quite easily when you are low on anything.
Not a problem, wouldn't be the first time something as simple as that gets overlooked. Happens all the time to me in my CS projects.

Very nice, playing through it now. I love high quality 32 map megawads. Any others like it?

speed of doom if you hate yourself
epic 2
alien vendetta
Yeah I've played through most of SoD and AV. I hate how some of them just become slaughterwads near the end. I'm fine with a level having tons of enemies, but I don't like wading through two hundred all in one fight at the same time.
I keep having this glitch in Brutal Doom v19, i like to use jump-kick while reloading and sometimes at low health it kills me if i kick a zombie or imp's head off.
Welp John it was fun while it lasted.
A small, 3 level pack for the DNF mod for Duke 3D came out
http://forums.duke4.net/topic/6960-release-dnf-2013-dlc-level-pack/page__view__findpost__p__176526
Here's a gameplay video of the second level (obv don't watch if you don't want it spoiled)

did i hear a bit of Arnold in his voice in the first big jump?
Could be since when 3D Realms created him Arnold was an obvious inspiration and he also usually only screams like that when falling similar distances to what was in predator.
Also not that it matters but they used custom sprites that I made for the RPG and shotty in their mod [T]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/heart.png[/T]

We won't get any new info on Doom 4 itself probably unless one of the testers spills the beans legitly, but at least that means there's something there and not just a dead project on the drawing board after it got scrapped once already.
I just hope somebody that actually appreciates old-school Doom goes.

That happens even if you have like 125 health. Is a annoying bug
If it's the new Wolfenstein or Doom 4 it better have health and not this regeneration crap. Where's tension and fear when if you're beat up pretty bad you can just hide for a minute and it's all ok?
Yeah, here's hoping it's not Call of Doomy. I want to feel like I'm fighting demons from hell with an arsenal that would make the Red Army blush, not slowly chipping away at them through cover.

IIRC, the new Wolf game has a small amount Health Regen, but you need to heal the rest with medkits.
IIRC, the new Wolf game has a small amount Health Regen, but you need to heal the rest with medkits.
This is the system I prefer.
On one end, I hate the idea of health regenerating by simply waiting for jelly and pain sounds to fade.
On the other - nothing is worse than being stuck against hit-scan enemies with 2% health.

Like in Far Cry? When you were like half of the last bar it would regen and the rest you had to heal yourself
Welp, it's the 10th here.
Happy 20th birthday Doom.

I'm glad that old iteration is dead ancient, but god damn it Danny Trejo was going to be in a fucking Doom game and now he might never be :C.
Happy 20 Years, Doom!
Thinking in this game has 20 years of being one of the greatest game on the world makes me feel old.
Let's celebrate blowing up demons and drinking health potions until we fall.
So far, I'm really enjoying Wrack. I wish more games would take inspiration from Doom. Though I'm not really a fan of how the other two episodes are DLC. Seems kind of shitty to make you pay extra for the entire rest of the game, especially since it's not even done yet.
There (should) be a big Cacoawards event today. I hope. As long as it doesn't get delayed into oblivion like last year.
Is there any way to get Gzdoom to stop with the audio ducking?
I'm using Doom Metal 4 and on most of the songs there's chords that lower the overall game volume.
I never had this problem with Skulltag.
