Sup fellas, I'm still working on my little sword mod, a lot of things have changed since you last saw those few gifs. For one thing the wand has been totally redone, projectiles have been improved drastically, and now the weapon generates ammo for the slot 3 weapon, which can heal you if you shoot monsters with it.
The sword's been updated graphically, and has a new feature, if you don't swing it for a second or so, you can charge up and fire off a wave of energy, at lower HP levels this attack uses less of that energy, and when you're at critical levels, you can fire it off endlessly.
Slot 4's being worked on right now, here's a preview of what it looks like when you draw it and the idle animation

you can't see it amongst the bodies but it's a piercing beam of energy that flies straight and does ridiculous damage, I had to nerf it a little because it was one-shotting cyberdemons earlier :v:

Make sure to use the alt fires, and the altfire for the ruby wand can be charged up. Shoot things with the wand to get slot 3 ammo.

I want it to be powerful. You're only getting 4 weapons total in my mod, and the powered up sword is your powerhouse weapon.

Alright, so I actually played this and holy shit is it FUN. Once you learn the little nuances its pretty indepth (I had no idea the wand's powered regular fire [I]healed you[/I] when you hit enemies with it, once I read that bit holy crap did this ever become more fun). The only thing I have to say is that the sword's unpowered alt-fire is kinda meh as it is. Perhaps you could charge it and be able to pull and enemy towards you, sorta like a hookshot/grapple claw? That would be make it loads more useful to be able to grab an enemy and pull them into melee range.
Regardless, this thing is INCREDIBLE.
Edit: Actually, on a second look it seems it does in fact pull enemies towards you, albeit rather weakly. Perhaps a charge that violently throws an enemy then?
Also, is there a "hitscan" attack? Otherwise certain maps will be impossible with this mod, since you sometimes need to hit distant switches with a pistol shot.

I'm glad you like my mod so much, I'll look into making the grappler's chain more potent, but it -usually- yanks in enemies consistently. and while I don't have any hitscan attacks. I should be able to give the wand's primary fire the ability to trigger switches, would that be acceptable?

I've started work on Subweapons, these will replace the altfires of your unpowered sword and wand, the first I've made is a shield that makes you not only immune to damage for a short time, projectiles bounce off you.

A lot of my ripper projectiles are kinda fiddly on how they work, the chakram's only -really- good indoors, I think the only ripper projectile I've made so far that's damned near OP is the swirling vortex shot that has a gravitational pull, but you still have to shoot it at the right distance to be the most effective.
Well okay and the powered sword's altfire beam is capable of destroying a spider mastermind in one shot... :v: But in my defense you only get two shots max with that before having to get more ammo.

Oh yeah, you might want to show what keys you have in your hud. I wound up switching to the alternative GZdoom hud to see what I had. (of which I might stick with anyway, as I like seeing numbers rather than just bars)
