I want them to center the weapons
God no, there is a reason they don't do this anymore. It would look weird in a modern game.
idk, if they had stylized graphics it could work 39 seconds I know it's not modern graphics, but that just looks like Doom in 3d there. It doesn't have to be that way by default, maybe a menu option or cheat code that just shifts them over.

[editline]2nd June 2014[/editline] Hell, the version shown in that trailer never got released, I think.
It's actually not dead http://www.wireheadstudios.org/ Just moving at a snails pace, if that snail were stuck in a slow motion time warp while taking a sedative Apparently they recently fixed the registration problem so you can go and bitch to them about taking longer than black mesa to release. I plan to, maybe also offer some suggestions and some help if they need it.

Oddly I'd like to see some more demonic-themed weapons in doom 4 like the unmaker we never got until Doom 64.
Someone should make a Source Engine mod that emulates the hectic craziness of Doom 2 for single and multiplayer.
Is there an add-on for brutal doom that has a kick that fits the third person doom guy? I want green leg for consistency
So apparently this is a thing This guy was the lead level designer of Bioshock 2 by the way, so I guess he knows what he's doing.
Yes please, I've wanted to work with the Doom engine but there's so many different programs you need to actually make a completely new thing. I don't want to go into game development but I'd like to do small time work for my own amusement. I hope to see this take off.
Oddly I'd like to see some more demonic-themed weapons in doom 4 like the unmaker we never got until Doom 64.
Demon weapons would be pretty badass, though they'd probably need to be somewhat distinct from the standard guns and energy weapons we see built by the UAC. Would a flaming sword or skeletal crossbow be too over-the-top, or would such weapons qualify as hellish? Regardless, I think iD could certainly afford to take a leaf out of Painkiller's book, since the weapons there were twisted and awesome. I wouldn't say no to a rocket launcher with an underslung flamethrower in the shape of a dragon.
Are there any good full mods that are like heretic or hexen for GZDoom/Zdoom? I want to play something hexen-like but I've played it so much already.
Hexen-like? I can think of mods FOR Hexen, but not many that are like Hexen but not for Hexen.
What mods are there for hexen? I've got a neat mod for strife (weapons of rebellion 2) and I wouldn't mind something like that

A while back a bit and I just got it again, but I meant something medieval-fantasy.
Thanks, sounds interesting enough so I'll check it out.
You know, I am still surprised no one ported Super Noah's 3D into Brutal Doom.
You know, I am still surprised no one ported Super Noah's 3D into Brutal Doom.
You'd have to brutalize friggin' everything. It would be quite the chore to sprite all that. I mean yeah you could prolly just port the sprites over but then it would look really weird.
I was loving Strife up until the [sp]attack to kill the Programmer[/sp] and the whole game took a turn from Awesome Street to "HOLY FUCK THIS IS HARD IF HAD A CONTROLLER I WOULD OF THROWN IT BY NOW" Blvd. None of my GZDoom autosaves are before that part so I'm pretty fucked.
You'd have to brutalize friggin' everything. It would be quite the chore to sprite all that.
Strife has difficulty balancing issues and level design issues, the levels are kinda confusing at times and even though I've beaten the game before I still get lost. I still like it a lot though
The fucking sewers are like the map designer sold his soul to satan so he could create the most confusing map ever, though.
At the very least the sprites look a lot easier to edit due to simplicity, compared to Doom, but I might wrong on that.
I'm not sure if these sprites even have rotations, considering they're on the Wolfenstein 3D engine. I think you'd also have to make custom gibs and such too, since Brutal Doom's are much more detailed.

However, the bosses didn't have rotations, and they cut rotation sprites out of certain ports entirely.
The GCW-Zero runs Dingux, right? [editline]6th June 2014[/editline]
I might get a lot of hate for this but why do people like Chex Quest? The level design is way too simple for me to enjoy it.
I've started to play Doom again and I also got Doom64EX and the PSX Doom Total conversion Saga that runs on GZDoom. But for some reason I keep exiting the game after several levels because I tend to stop playing after a set amount of time like my mind says "Okay, that should be enough for a Digest session." How can I sit through Doom without getting sidetracked? Should I save every few levels and come back to the game when I start it again?
The exact opposite happens to me, just wanna play for a bit and I end up playing for 2 hours. Just Save and Load, seems like the obvious choice.
Wolf 3D can have rotations, just look at patrolling/wandering guards. [editline]6th June 2014[/editline] Or in multiplayer.

I do remember someone made a split-screen Wolf 3D mod, though, that gave the bosses fan-made rotation sprites, and they even added in rotations for shooting. Not sure if it was ECWolf or based off the original engine.
