I noticed the screenshots are broken. Since is actually pretty hard to get a decent Doom screenshot, want me to take some for you?
I think I've got this one covered. But if mine turn out shitty then absolutely.
The look or the gameplay? I haven't heard anything about this game resembling doom 3 in any way of note. Get fucked Trejo's the best. For those who don't know.
I read the monsters look more along the lines of Doom 3, I hoped for a return to more devilish creatures.
I don't mind Doom 3 aesthetics, but I still want them to be demons.
I don't mind Doom 3 aesthetics, but I still want them to be demons.
Besides the zombies, the monsters of Doom 3 were pretty demonic to me. I get they don't quite line up with Doom 1&2, and the Imp looked goofy with his powerstruts, but still.
Just for funsies, I went and inventoried my Doom memorabilia: [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/35218667554148084/9996FB9B0C2A8936A1BA1FD3B45189E633871474/[/t]
D zone gold?

Doom 3 had a pretty good assortment of monsters. Most of Doom's look pretty goofy, for the most part. Arch-viles looked alright, as did the zombies and the bosses, but nothing else was that intimidating looking.

They got broken and lost pretty quickly since I was a kid, though.
I read the monsters look more along the lines of Doom 3, I hoped for a return to more devilish creatures.
That coulda been written by any left brained fuck face with limited description skills, this is videogame journalism we're talking about. The only description I trust so far is a comparison drawn to Pacific Rim's creature design, since it's the same guy and that's what the teaser looked like.

rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I read the monsters look more along the lines of Doom 3, I hoped for a return to more devilish creatures.
The implications are that the monsters in Doom 4 are some kind of UAC experiments gone wrong, but since there are possessed marines, obviously we're dealing with some hellish force too.
Fuck I uploaded it to youtube so you don't have to download it from their website It's just a test video for new team arena stuff in the mod, but this is the first video media they've posted in five years for Generations Arena. While I'm disappointed 1.0 didn't come out sooner, I think this looks really awesome. The classes seem to now all function like their classic counterparts down to the weapon bob and method of gibbing. Here's the post http://forums.wireheadstudios.org/index.php?topic=4032.0 And here's a teaser gallery of more of the Team Arena stuff http://www.wireheadstudios.org/gallery/TeaserShots2?page=3
Is there anything worthwhile about picking up Doom 3 BFG edition while it's $5 on Steam? Are the new levels any good? It seems strange that it can't be modded; didn't they release Doom 3's source code awhile ago?

Are there any good particle mods that work with sikkmod for D3? Most of the ones I seem to find seem to be in a package or have weird glitches with sikkmod's shaders
http://comics.farazparsa.com/?comic=doom-4 WHY.
I just remembered that Revenant's rockets are homing, we're fucked.
I'm wondering if they're not sub-revenants Like, I can imagine them taking all the doom enemies and making "subspecies" for all of them that do different things. Basically I think classic revenants will still be there, and the flying ones attacks will behave differently.
I'd better be able to hop onto them and ride them around while making them shoot their buddies.
Apparently one of the Doomworlders said someone had tried recording but got caught and was escorted out, nearly started a fight mid-presentation. Not sure how legit it is.
Some anon on /v/ said he has a recording and will upload it tomorrow when he's back at his comp. I hope you keep your word anon.
Hey maybe it'll be like the Doom 3 e3 demo where you couldn't find a video anywhere but then somebody uploaded a super blurry, super low res recording for people to download that, coupled with the then new shadow tech made it look real.
I'm interested in seeing id tech 6, I'm eager to see what new features I won't even notice. Seriously I hope they fix texture pop in though. They're weren't complaints but you never know.
That's not something you really fix, cuz it's all due to the megatextures. It all depends on whether or not they try and rely on them again.
That's not something you really fix, cuz it's all due to the megatextures. It all depends on whether or not they try and rely on them again.
Maybe they ditched megatextures, and if they didn't perhaps they've found a better way to do it.
I hope they don't completely ditch it, but find other applications for it. Like, instead of one megatexture for every level, it's one for every room.
I got DooM 3 BFG did I get the bad version of DooM 3?
