So I just discovered the Outpost in Doom RPG, it's pretty cool, decided to stash some mods and get a mission. I teleport back to the map I was at and now EVERY SINGLE ENEMY is fucking black and invisible and they're powerful with prefixes and suffixes in their names and shit, pinkies run around at the speed of light with tons of health, my energy keeps being drained and my money keeps being stolen. WHAT'S GOING ON? Oh god, is this what the "Are you a bad enough dude" option does?

Now this is almost completely functional, it simply needs a reload, better graphics, detection for alternative pistol ammo, and the ability to holster your pistol. But, beyond that, its completely ingame. :wink:

I guess I'm a bad enough dude, because it feels the right amount of difficulty for me.

A side-view perspective of the pistol would probably fit it overall, but it works if you're not wanting to do that sorta thing. Great work as always.
I could never get the Doom RPG mod working right. It always loaded until it hit this error: [img]http://i.imgur.com/C5mFCKB.png[/img] And then it couldn't continue. Does anyone know how to fix that?

Set a bind on your controls for "Toggle Shield" and then press it to turn it on. It's pretty much added HP that recharges with some more effects.

I don't think you have to move your current maps to UDMF yet. Mapping in Doom in Hexen format is absolutely fine at this moment ( I think ). I just thought that when you are confident enough and want to take on some ambitious project or full campaign or etc you may want to consider UDMF. But before doing that you may want to just mess around with it by just making a random map to get the hang of it.

Great work as always.[/QUOTE] I'm more of a guideline guy instead of rules. I'm trying to stick to the vanilla art style but I'll make exceptions for things that do feel like they work. Same for resources, I'm trying to use ID's, because I want to learn on my own and don't wish to bother people with using their stuff, though I have obtained permission for PerK's smooth animation and HD audio. I'm not against using other's work, its just I try to do what I can. I was thinking a side perspective might work, I'll have to look around for a resource for that, (because I'm not nearly skilled enough to draw that), though I felt the centered view also worked because the idea is that you are aiming the pistol forward while moving your other hand out of the way. I need to improve the graphic to demonstrate this more clearly. We'll see what happens, thank you for the feedback.
I'm confused about how to assemble weapons. I just apply certain mods to a gun and it happens automatically? If that's the case where's a recipe list?

I personally wouldn't use BDSE_Regen_Health_30 with DoomRPG as they both modify player health, figured they'd conflict
I been playing a lot of Red Faction recently and it, along with the new quickdraw pistol mechanic made me think. Would a riot-shield be a cool "weapon" for players to use? I was thinking it would work similar to ones in games today but more akin to an active block system like your traditional fantasy game (Zelda, Elderscrolls). You would have your pistol (Maybe SSG?) in your right hand while your left holds the shield, primary would block, secondary would fire. (It would basically work like the Counter-Strike 1.6 shield for any veterans out there)

I remember ammo pickups being messed up when I tried to put them together.
