I'm so confused by the ranking system. I used to be a Gold Nova 4 even though I was pretty terrible, now I've spent a couple of months getting genuinely good at spray patterns, timing, and general strategies and I can't get past Silver Elite even though I'm way better than I ever was. Do accounts get messed up if you play them too long? Maybe I should buy the game again
I think it takes insanely long to go from silver into gold territory.
I started at nova 4 aswell, and went down to silver master or one below silver master because of queueing with friends who had just started playing. We were losing games left and right, and to add up to that, I also had some of the worst soloQ matches ever during that time where I was in first place of my team with a not so good score (which means something is seriously bad).
It took forever to go from silver to nova, but going from nova 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 was a lot easier. And going back to nova 4? Honestly, strangely easy. I played less than 10 games, won maybe little more than half of them and ranked up.
It's also easier to derank with bad scores and losses than it is with good scores than losses, so maybe you're winning low or losing high?
Ties also count for rank up btw.
I haven't won a game in ten games
I've always been above a 1.5KDR but holy shit my silver teams suck

kdr's mean nothing on csgo. it's a team game not a solo run and gun
-Every silver player.
I don't blame him though, teamwork is pretty shit in silver matches. I had a hard time getting out of silver at first too, mostly because the teams were terrible. Once you've made enough friends to form a good team, everything is easier.
I was also playing with some silver friends a few days ago as a nova 3, and it was absolutely painful. NO ONE communicated and everyone was playing passive on the goddamn terrorist side. They literally spent half of each round sitting by A split on dust2.

Oh yeah I know. I had a brief swim through the silver swamp when I played with friends. Everyone is angry about being there.
It's the perfect place to get those games where your team's like, "yep all rush this point" and you run in only to realise none of your teammates followed because they don't want to drop their kdr and win the game.

smurfs, trolls-- its hard to deal with
Joining up with a few buddies sounds like a great alternative to all of that, though. I'll take your advice.

I've been playing with a friend or two and I'm currently in Silver 3, most of my games haven't been too bad (good amount of communication) I was actually on a pretty good winstreak then lost two games against smurfs and decided I needed to stop for a bit before i just flat out derank
silver is an interesting rank to say the least

Sometimes they can be kind of interesting because if you're going to see some balls-out retarded strategies it'll be silver. Strats experienced teams wouldn't dare try because they're so risky. Silvers can potentially be unpredictable.
BOY I SURE DO LOVE IT WHEN TWO LEM SMURFS WITH EXPERT PREFIRING AND AIM SKILLS ARE IN YOUR SILVER 4 MATCH
the worst is
"lol guys im not trying"
"u silvers mad? im not even trying lmao"
"lol were gonna lose anyway so imma not bother tryin"
"yea im only 5th place because i dont really care my main is gold nova"
can you change the round start music on pure servers or is it disabled entirely so they can sell music kits?
you could do it in the beta but i googled it and there's no mention of it anymore.
I'm getting sick and tired of these rage hack boosters. Work my way up to supreme and can't play 3 games without one of them.

there's almost no point in playing mm at LE+, it's easier to just play third party leagues where the cheating and smurfs aren't as rampant

Smurfs aren't an issue for me. The people I queue with work well together. Good teamwork, great calls, good strats. One rage hacker negates all that though.
I was just doing some nice dm yesterday and a bunch of people on the server start doing donald duck impressions. People in this game are weird :v:
Hmm. TSM vs VP has good odds. Online match on Inferno, TSM won't underperform.

Wouldn't call a 50/50 game online being close to 50/50 good odds myself. The titan vs LDLC game is much much much more stacked.
I can't stand people who keep inviting you to their lobby.
I just politely asked someone on my friends list to stop inviting me, he lost his shit and deleted me.
What a special snowflake
This is revelant. I'm pretty sure it is.

Odds were 60/40 for VP at the time of my post. I have a lot of confidence in TSM, they don't seem to disappoint online, even when they get DDoSed.
Jeez I used the new MP7 and it owns, pity it's still so expensive. Rather just get the UMP for cheap SMG accuracy or MP9/Mac 10 for cheap bullet hose. For the price I just can't justify it.

Dont answer them, its easier.
I befriended this portuguese guy who seemed pretty cool at first and like a good player.
Comes first game, he NEVER shuts up, complains about everything, then tries to teach people who can play better than him.
Never played with him again and now I just dont answer his invites anymore.
He's also a deep voiced 16 y old iirc who calls me a kid.
I'm 22 you dick.
Did anyone happened to have a big lagspike in EU?

Its just 500/450 more. It doesnt feels like much, but then again, I rarely buy other pistols for example so, its something i dont waste money on.

it has a 2x kill reward so honestly as long as you get at least one kill it's worth it

Because you did not ace.
Any european silvers wanna play?
Don't wanna soloq all the damn time.
So I was playing Faceit last night and had an interesting match.
After waiting in warmup for five minutes, only 8 people connected. We decided to play it 4v4 with a bot on each team. We played the knife round and won. After the knife round, the other team's 5th connected. I was the captain so I had to decide if we were going to cancel it (Because we hadn't selected a team, it could still be cancelled without punishment). I said in chat that they got their 5th. In team chat I said that I was gonna cancel it and as I was about to alt-tab to go to the site and cancel it, three of the people on the other team disconnected, expecting me to cancel it (despite the fact I didn't say in public chat I was about to cancel it, they assumed I would because I was waiting so long).
I readied up and what was once a 5v4 became a 4v2. After the first round, one of them DC'd so it became a 4v1. He managed to win a round solo by literally walking onto B site because the person who had played B was hunting him, and after I killed him and started defusing (no kit because second round), he possesed a bot in mid, one of the other bots walked out of market, came up behind me, stood there, and after four seconds shot me as I defused looking the other way. All three of my teammates (and our bot) were on site with me and somehow they managed to let a bot kill me while I was defusing. He surrendered next round.
