Counter-Strike: Global Offensive v4 "Tec9 is a meme gun" - Games

Anyone willing to explain the importance of smokes, and how to best utilize them? That or direct me to a guide on when/how to use them. I've been watching a lot of pro matches lately as well as WarOwl's videos but something's not clicking. I'm assuming you can see someone in smoke before they can see you which gives you the advantage, but still I'm not willing to use them because I know using them incorrectly hinders my teams line of sight and actually can benefit the other team. But at the same time I realize how much this hinders me as a player.

Actually, the biggest influence a smoke could have is essentially the block of line of sight, but for the enemy team. You should just learn smoke throwing tricks as a CT/T to block off certain areas of vision for enemy players, this way you can stop an incoming rush or prevent a retake from happening too soon for comfort.

On the one hand it hurt, on the other hand, as far as my rank was concerned, it wasn't really a loss (I ranked up the game after). 33 in 24 rounds is really good so well done.

If so, play with friends. But make sure they aren't complete idiots. One of my good friends leaves games when he knows we're going to have a long game. He literally plays one game a week because he gets 7 day bans all the time. Anyway, find good friends and play with them.
