I ranked up to DMG from a tied game where I did really bad for like 4/5 of the game

Only been a week and hackers are already inflating the ranks, its amazing how massive this problem is.
Played a game without any hackers (or smurfs, but they arent much of a problem) at MG2-MGE and we absolutely creamed them 16-5.

no i am definitely exaggerating. it's maybe one in three or four games that i excel. but really, if I'm holding B on d2 and I manage to kill three of them on the rush, my team should be able to win a fucking 4v2. some kid got flashed on my team mid and rushed out double doors [i]while still flashed[/i]. i was ready to just put my headset down

Number advantage doesn't mean shit if your team can't coordinate; i.e. if at all possible in a 4CT vs 2T with bomb on B site scenario, you don't want to file in one by one.
And sometimes unintentional stuff does happen, I got bitched out for getting killed last night because I jumped. Here's the kicker, I didn't mean to jump, my thumb just fat-fingered the spacebar.
I just have to face the fact that I'm playing with MG-level knowledge with people at SEM/GN1-level ability. It's not one thing or the other, it's just something I need to really push through to get to the other side. I was just frustrated by my games the other day

Tbh if you play at mg level you should be able to rank out of gn/silver quickly
well, i'm halfway there already, it's just a matter of setting an hour aside for a full match

GN2 is a very interesting rank. Either your team stomps, or you get stomped. I've had like.. one or two games where it's actually been an even/close match. Everything else is ridiculous, like 16 - 3.
I think it's due to the mix of people you're likely to get, you'll get paired against GN4's and GN3's with about the same odds you'll get paired with other GN2's and GN1's.
God help you if you're a team of GN2's and one GN4 vs a team of GN3's.

mg2 isn't even good compared to when you get to LE or LEM so i mean it's not something to brag about
I hate the fucking matchmaking in this game, I'm GN2, I don't want to play versus GN3 or GN4, it absolutely ruins the game, of course we're gonna get destroyed.
There should be a button that lets you only play versus people your own rank, and actually have a fair game for once.

There's a huge difference even between GN2 and GN4, just down to aim alone.
no there really isn't, i ranked back up to mg1 recently and had a game with other mg1's that were god awful compared to other mg1's i've played with
specific ranks mean fuck all it's the rank ranges that matter, silver 1-6 players are all shit, gn1-gn4 players are all less shit, mg1-mge less shit again, etc etc

This isn't true, even slightly.
A higher rank generally will outaim a lower rank. At the top of the team is, 8/10, the highest rank on the team.
You can say as much as you like this isn't true, but you're not the one here getting stomped by GN4's that can headshot you before you can react.
At this point I'd rather rank down to silver and actually enjoy the game again.

it is 100% range and not specific rank
i am gn3 right now; i've gone up from s3 to this in about a week and a half and i am still rising. i top frag every game, and i queue with GN4s and MG1s - this is because my rank is inaccurate at the moment (but is rising) and i particularly blame that on silver tier being completely broken
and with a playerbase that large, there is no possible chance it is only me like this. ranks are more of a range thing than a specific rank and if you want to believe that fine, but in the grand scheme of things it means fuck all. i've seen gn1s that are insane and mg2s that are utter shit for what they should be doing
if you want to rank down to silver then throw every game but i guarantee you will be soloqueueing as long as people know you are throwing to derank and / or stay in silver just to play against people who are worse at the game to inflate your own ego (P S thats smurfing l o l)

I would say it is likely the GN4 will win, but it is not certain, for the same reason a team with less ELO overall is expected to lose, but may still win. Nobody performs at 100% ideal conditions 100% of the time. Consistency isn't possible and thus, ranks are more of a range than an actual indicator.
