except you do improve, you just don't notice it.
thank the smurfs tbh, they are making you improve much faster. playing against better opponents will make you better faster
Yeah that was my experience using ESEA. After playing five games, and getting fucking destoyed, I went on regular matchmaking and stomped people on my level.
Was hoping they would have reverted the AWP change by now... I am afraid it will be like this forever.
yeah that's also another good idea i never really thought about.
really blazingfly, if you don't want to deal with smurfs in mm, go play some cevo/esea. get more proficient at the game and then go back to mm and stomp your way out of whatever rank you're at
Yesterday I had the best game ever. We rushed B on mirage as t's while singing DONT! STOP! ME! NOW! It was great. Also we won.
I have found the absolute way to rank trough nova.
3rd round negev rushes on inferno.
They never see it coming. :downs:
Got beasted two games in a row by teams that were getting carried by their top 2 players, the salt is real.
Wow, the enfu stickers are so shit...
144 hertz is a big deal.
3 eur enfu sticker, ez profit
So has the crashing problem been hotfixed yet? Wanna make sure before I get into some comp with some mates.
do the valve matchmaking servers use the new voice codec too?

Isn't the average cevo/esea/faceit rank DMG or higher?
If I could play at those ranks I wouldn't be having trouble with the smurfs. :v:

FaceIT is anywhere from silver to global. CEVO is low end MG up to DMG. ESEA is around DMG, but doesn't matter because they have their own MM system.
They're also a glorious example of making people realize they're the issue in quite a few cases. Nothing like a bunch of GN coming onto faceIT, saying "finally I can play against eagles" and getting their faces caved in and surredering at 9 minutes.
Do people still getting crashes? Just tied a supposedly losing Inferno game because mid game 3/5 of enemy team got disconnected lol. Late to the whole Inferno discussion but I find it hard to get good Terror win rounds if the team I am set up with can't work together. We started making a comeback when we got switch to CT.

This is like the opposite of what I wanna do though, I don't wanna hold the team back because I can't outplay the stupidly good people on those leagues.

It does it's best on FaceIT and ESEA to put you on fair teams.
I do recommend FaceIT, just dont be the guy who insta surrenders.
Tec-9 still sucks, I can't deal with that inaccuracy, it's either 100% effective or 0% effective because you need to hope for those lucky close quarters headshots.
The 5-7 is more much effective if you're trying to be an eco round hero.

Not really. tec-9 running accuracy is still retarded and the first shot will essentially always go where you point it. After the initial dink which is already likely to kill your opponent you just spam a few bullets towards their body and they're dead
I can only get around 50/100 shots using the friberg settings on aim training. :/
i think the course of the tech9 is weird as fuck
at first, nobody used it
so they buff it, and its op, everyone use it
then they nerf it so its akin or slighly worse than originally
and now people still use it all the time... even though nobody used the original
its really weird
How do I get good at CSGO if I'm new? I was really good at CS:S and CS 1.6 when they were popular, but this game feels different. Whenever I go on pubs, I die and stuff.
well at first nobody knew how it worked
now everyone has a feel for the gun and so they're used to using it so they're better with it than, say, the five seven

mechanics and spread on the guns are different, i played css since 2008 and i basically had to relearn everything
go open up dm and practice

keep doing it, play with mouse sensitivities making sure it isn't too high

Playing with bots helps.
Playing with bots helps.
I tried to play against the hardest bots and I win most of the matches, dying only once or twice per full match. I don't think I can really apply what I learn there in actual pubs, I die and stuff.
My most succesful match thus far was a 2v1 against an AWP dude. I just ran in his face with a M4 and unloaded into his face while jumping and crouching, only killing him around the 3 last shots in the mag. Then I defused, got MVP and a box drop.
depending on what you want to practice, arms race is a really great mode to warm-up in. plus it nets you a little practice with each gun

Gungame is pretty bad to practice in since you dont hone in your practice on core guns like the ak m4 awp
You're going to be using ak m4 awp 90% of the time, might as well warmup your muscle memory on those guns?
Just played my first overtime ESEA pug yesterday. I love it. Went to double overtime on Cache and we ended up taking it 22-18. Also stood in for a scrim. We got absolutely destroyed but it was a cool experience.
