I'm a DMG but I really don't know what to do to get better now. When I'm on form my aim is pretty good, but I'm just so inconsistent. That and I feel like its more my positioning and awareness that's getting me killed now. I play quite aggressively and it's always getting me killed. I'm starting to work on it but I still don't really know how to get better. Also I traded my Fade for this almost all blue doppler. I'm not too worried about price but it was a pretty fair trade right? Either way I like the doppler more.

Positioning and awareness are def. big factors on getting out alive, but it's impossible to know without watching it.
This new update makes mics sound like teamspeak audio
This new update makes mics sound like teamspeak audio
because it uses the same codec
For me and everyone I lobby with, we can't hear each other in lobby for weeks now but ingame sounds normal, valve fix when? Also I love how 80% of players ingame are toxic as fuck all of a sudden.
Oh god, I can't wait to go back home this weekend and try out CS: GO for the first time in two months. This new voice codec sounds dope, too. Any comparison videos out yet?
Teamspeak was laughing non-stop, trying to plant the bomb with this guy running around turned counter-strike: global offensive into silent hill. Fucking amazing.
does anyone have an esea pass?

Got to MGE and like, my last 10 games have been either ties or close to ties. Fun stuff. Really want to get to DMG. I've been playing a ton of DM but I need to work on my gamesense. Tips?

Pay attention to your radar if you see a red dot (if they're not shooting at you) so you know where the enemy is or may be. Be aware of your position and understand where at any times you can be shot from. Be aware of where the enemy is or may be. Don't waste time diverting your attention to look at other angles unless you think an enemy is in that direction. Gamesense is a whole lot of prediction and understanding of players and mechanics. If you can predict what the enemy is going to do, even just 1 of them, you already have an upper hand against that player, unless he knows what you're going to do too. If you understand what he's doing you can counter him based on your knowledge of what he is going to do. When I play I do a lot of mental hoops in my head to make sure I'm able to figure out what a team is going to do, when they have money or not, when they're going to straight up rush, which player goes where. I also do my best to pay attention to my team to make sure I'm in a position that's able to support them while I keep note of where enemies are. Of course, I literally try to keep track of everything that's happening in the game to the best of my ability. Someone once asked me if I was the CSGO Rainman with how well I can predict players sometimes. This is something you learn by constantly playing and watching matches/demos to see what players do.
I really want to do some demo watching. What do you reccomend?
Watch your own demos and see what you can improve upon. If you were dismantled by a player in a recent game, download the demo and watch them to see what they did and try to understand what they did and why they did it. If you're watching yourself, judge yourself based upon what you know and what you can do better on. Being able to see x-ray as well you can start to understand where you should be looking when anticipating enemies. While watching the demos, try turning off x-ray and pay attention to the sounds of enemies and teammates. One thing about sounds in particular is you can hear a helluva lot if you pay attention. You can hear the scope of an awp/scout scoping in and out. You can hear that player switch weapons if he switches weapons while scoped. You can hear players throwing grenades as they let them go. You can hear the sound of a mouse2 knife click. You can also hear the toggle fire on glocks and famas.
tbh this is all pretty standard for mg+
You'd be surprised how many MG+ only know how to aim and listen to footsteps.
You'd be surprised how many MG+ only know how to aim and listen to footsteps.
i guess im just lucky i play with a stack that knows their shit
For those who want to improve their game to the next level: https://www.youtube.com/user/csgoworldorg Go watch some POV from the pros and start imitating what they do, especially the things that you don't understand why they do it: try them out, because once you do you'll understand why they do that and learn something new. Also to improve your own gamesense watch your own demos, the ones were you get absolutely destroyed and figure out why you got fucked so hard so that next time you adapt faster. Sometimes all you need is a combination of gamesense, bravery and a pinch of luck.
I'm a DMG but I really don't know what to do to get better now.
Playing aggressively isn't bad per se but if you become predictable you're going to become a free kill for any smart players out there, because not only they will notice it but they also have similar/superior aim to yours so it won't be as effective as it was pre-DMG. My recommendation is that you get a friend who is good at supporting (knows lots of pop flashes, smokes) and collaborate with him so that you do something different every round in both sides, doing aggresive boosts to peek above smokes, do crazy rushes with him doing trade kills, pushing as CT's together always using the spawn that the game assigns you randomly, etc.

Whenever Fly Me was the last one alive after i 4k, he would just fucking stand in the open and let the last guy kill him. For the first 7 rounds those guys had zero kills. I've never seen this shit in silver 4, does it get worse at master guardian?

Just got an ace with the m249 in a GN4/MG1 game. I'm not sure if this is something to be proud of.

the mic update is great, I didn't even realise it was an update I just thought I was grouped up with 4 people that had mad expensive mics last night
the mic update is great, I didn't even realise it was an update I just thought I was grouped up with 4 people that had mad expensive mics last night
It's pretty nice but kind of weird until you get used to it. It's like people suddenly went from WW2 tier radios to whispering into my ear.

What you're doing is constantly playing pusher which while being an inconsistent practice is still hilariously predictable for any skilled player who will always factor in your bullshit before you know it. This means you dying a lot since the terrorist team will have absolutely no problem waiting around for 20 seconds before they go anywhere if they know you're gonna make it easy for them by pushing onto their turf. In other words: You're gonna have to adapt your playstyle if you want to move up the ranks now. That doesn't mean your pushing days are over, it just means you now have to be able to identify what kind of player is missing on your team and then fill that spot, wether its your style or not.
So i'm noticing something weird going on with the hit registration as for late, like some shots that shouldn't hit do and the ones that should have hit don't. I mean it was bad anyways but it seems to have gotten progressively worse since the last update(s). Before anyone yells 'you're probably a bad player!' i'm MG2 and i'm usually top fragger on my team. It's not all games either, some function normally and then it just fucks you over the next, like the server/client are heavily out of sync or some shit like that. If someone has some information to share about this please do before i start questioning myself.
Start playing with net_graph or something external on so you have some data on what is different when hitreg is funky
I do have net_graph 5 turned on and everything seems to behave normally, no packet loss or anything. It just seems that ( after the server probably has been on for a while ) the server becomes out of sync and the hit boxes just don't match up or shots ( even though you clearly saw the bullet go out ) don't actually registrate, and then, to make it even worse, if you watch the demo it does registrate it.. I think i need a long break from cs:go for now..
