I usually get confused as hell when there's like 3-5 flashbangs going off at the same time and my whole screen is white
What do you learn by being shot in the head as soon as you get seen? Even if I play extremely safe, fall back as soon as they see me, hold VERY tight angles (which doesn't work at my level anyway, because I don't have the reaction time to click two pixels of head that crosses the gap in about an eighth of a second. Well, by that point, the rest of my team is already dead and I get to sit in my "safe" spot as four terrorist rush me from four different angles. There are games where I've topfragged the team and we've stomped the other team completely and I know how it is to be placed against a superior team - they must have hated every second they played us. I even make a point of going back and watching the demos of the players on the enemy team and they don't really do anything different to what I do, just their shots land where they aim and they get the kill. I don't have that luxury, so I try to play by better positioning, but it doesn't seem to beat raw skill in aim.
as a disclaimer I'm currently a nova 4 on my deagle account and like, mge on my main or something because I don't play it anymore (solo q is boring af). I play with an SMFC every now and then so I guess I might be able to still talk. I'm aware that CS is yes, pretty much a twitch game, but a well placed player with the right weapon will do a lot of damage. From the sounds of it you're just being down about losing some games because the enemy stomped you then? Either way, almost any game is winnable. Comebacks happen at lower ranks, and I have to quote a match I played while I was ~nova 2 with a bunch of silvers. We were 14-3 and we came back to 15-15 or something like that. Having your attitude would have sealed it as a win for the enemy team. You don't WANT to fall back as soon as they see you, you want to hold the angle for as long as is feasible (ie, don't die). If you fall back you're just letting them into the site and giving them a better chance and a confidence boost. If you can't click two pixels of a head in about an eighth of a second, then just unpeek or something and then repeek. Chances are they're pushing up anyways, and they'll likely be closer. Thats how I generally handle it to compensate for my awful reaction time / precision and I know that at the nova / mg levels it tends to work fairly well. How is your team's coordination? Are they calling out? Are they randomly chatting on the microphone about the weather? Is your team setting yourself up for a strong hold, or do you fall back at the first sign of a flashbang? Chances are the enemy team is just coordinated or yeah, maybe they do aim well. It happens, but you can outdo great aim if you truly position yourself and play strategically. Know when to fall back, know a fake from a fake fake, and know where they're coming from. Try a shotgun if you're working a tight angle. MAG-7 works wonders, and so does the Nova if you can aim at faces. Why did your teammates die? Were they not able to hold their own angles? Were they set up properly? Did they get flashed, or did the enemies come in through an angle you fell back from? If they aren't smurfing or cheating and you get shot in the head as soon as you're seen, they're probably running and shooting and there's not much you can do about that. It happens to me more times than I can count, but you just have to play the angle differently. But basically, if you give up you may as well abandon the match because you're going to be nothing but a burden and target practice. Almost any match is winnable. Above all though...DON'T PANIC. I'm making an assumption here because a lot of people do it, panic shots are probably the worst thing you could do to yourself. You'll probably miss every shot and die anyways. Out of curiosity, what maps do you generally play? That might shed some light. [editline]6th May 2015[/editline]
go to the watch tab ingame and send us the link to one of your demos, then we can all give you criticism or just carry on being shit and complaining
yes this please, I'd like to see some of your matches.
My favorite comeback memory was T-side cache. Score was 3-15 and a teammate said, "let there be 12 straight" and the prophecy was fulfilled. GN4 is a wierd rank, lots of people stuck at the mg wall and mostly suck.
This discussion is going nowhere now so heres content: vid Would have gotten eco 1v4, but i was so confused by the last enemy simply sitting there. I was staring at him and forgot to shoot. Like, i was just thinking if it's just corpse or not or why is he not shooting me yet.
I used to be somehow the opposite of this, like a year ago. Anything that would look like a human I'd shoot, corpses, or team mates running through my aim while I was expecting an enemy to appear, I just wasn't afraid of shooting moving things, lol (chickens included, but it was rare). I think I managed to 'fix' this by just playing more and more, I probably got used to how models I should hit look like and how they move (also checking radar helps), so it's really rare to happen now.
hahaha, what an unfortunate coincidence, didn't read your post Essante. Of course your deagle smurf is an exception, <3
I prefer p90 for holding tight spaces tbh
naaah nova gets the job done better
Firerate fucks it up imo, if there is another person you can snap to them instantly with the p90 Also its all up to hitting that first shot with shotguns, if you don't you're theoretically fucked
the 1014 is great because you can snipe people with it. It's probably like the biggest insult to get shotgunned from long to a site on dust 2.
Yeah the autoshotty is legit, but at nearly the same price i would just go with the p90, its more reliable
Any Euros want to queue tonight? I'm GN1
I think someone got boosted hard. [t]http://i.imgur.com/DTx9muX.jpg[/t]
So is MM now less riddled with hackers and such?
So is MM now less riddled with hackers and such?
It's now riddled with messed up ranks because there is more space for better ranks than there should be, so people unfit for those ranks are getting ranked up easily. Still good thing because less hackers is always good. And it warms me up inside whenever someone gets righteous VAC ban.
So is MM now less riddled with hackers and such?
I'm starting to see fresh accounts now. But give it a week and more hackers are going to pop up.
Lost my Supreme to a russian hacker going 50-4 and losing 16-0.
Lost my Supreme to a russian hacker going 50-4 and losing 16-0.
just wait for him to get banned and the match voided
I'm watching the PENTA vs GPlay match and this is the best caster I've ever heard. Like you guys need to listen to this guy.
just wait for him to get banned and the match voided
And of course he is boosting his bad friends, whats the point of being a high rank if you don't deserve it?
You think this is a "sided game" but it's not really. If one side wins.. 14 - 3, for example, then the sides switch. One team now needs two games to win, and one side needs 13 games to win. It's statistically unlikely that you're going to pull that off, right?

blazingfly no offense, but your posting is as nonsensical as is the HLTV comment section.
It's statistically unlikely any team will pull off a 14-3 half, yes. I have no idea what you're trying to say though.
Oh I just took the current score and added stuff. It was like.. 13 - 2. We made it to 13 - 7 before, as predicted, they won. We could not win 14 rounds against an enemy that only needed two to win, hence those rounds we did play were wasted time.
Then maybe try to pull something positive out of that experience for once?

It sounds like you're just whining through every match and concluding that the match can't be won because x y z.
