About this new voice codec thing: do I have to activate it through a console command/menu option or is it something that is on by default ?

I forgot which) that you couldn't disable and then another (the currently produced line) that doesn't have it. Or at least that's what I remember when I was doing research on what new mouse to buy.

Why the fuck can my friends play the game fine, and I can't?? I tried switching to a wired connection but it didnt do SHIT! WHY? I DONT FUCKING KNOW. MY FRIENDS ARE ALL RANKING UP TO GOLD NOVA NOW AND I DERANKED TO SILVER 4, IM NEVER GOING TO RANK UP. MY BROTHER TRIED PLAYING DOTA 2 WHILE NO ONE WAS USING THE INTERNET, AND HE LAGGED TO THE POINT WHERE HE COUDNT EVEN DO SHIT TOO Okay, sorry for the caps. But i'm pissed as fuck. To be honest, there isn't much to say other than "hurr durr better internet" unless someone in your house is perpetually downloading things. Try calling your ISP and say that your connection speeds plummeted. They sometimes give you a temporary boost (if you're lucky).

It's fluctuating to no end. 10% of the time its fine (100-130ms) but 90% of the time it goes from 150-2000ms. Also even when no one is downloading things its dogshit. I said in my post that this morning my brother tried playing dota 2 while no one was using the internet and he still lagged like hell. I cannot get better internet because I believe this is the best option my ISP offers and this is the only ISP available where I live, so it's impossible. Knowing my ISP they would never give me a boost. (TP-LINK TL-WR740N) How big of a difference does it do to the internet if I switch from a terrible router to a good one?

In the end I went with a Logitech G402, cue everyone saying what a terrible decision that was. Would have gotten a zowie but they're basically non-existent in the UK, could get the FK1 for £55 but anything else in their line hasn't arrived here yet. I'll see how this Logitech plays, anything should be a step up from a £10 wireless right?

I came back after a while and I'm dmg after like 10 wins from mg2, when I get paired with mg1's now they all seem to be complete dribbling mongs when 6 months ago mg1 meant that you were actually okay at the game

I ranked up 6 times before the vac wave and have been stuck at MGE since the banwave (mainly because I can't carry my friend's hard enough any more; I win all my duo queues with my good friends).
