if i have the trapping skill and a sharp tool like a multitool or a meat cleaver, i should be able to carve off the faces of all the bandits I kill and then stitch them into a cloak that gives a massive morale penalty against any humanoid enemy that comes near me.
http://steamcommunity.com/app/248860/discussions/3/
He eats any looters that visit him.
And then vomits on their remains.
After yesterday I managed to learn a lot about the game and learned a about crafting and etc...a shame I only played the Demo of it,but yeah the game looks really cool.A shame I can't afford it.
I killed a looter for the first time. Even though it's just text and all I could almost picture how it all went out from all the status messages. Was pretty brutal, we fought over the sled, I slashed him several times with the multitool, chased him and tackled him, we kept doing this for several turns. Until he got really weak and eventually died. I kinda felt bad, but he took my stuff!

Thanks, guys! It's great to hear that you're enjoying it so far :) Lol @Fausty's pic. "Hungry, Hung Over, Headache, Vomiting..." Someone thought they could drink away their problems the night before? And @Swebonny, I actually hear that quite a bit. I aimed for mundane realism in combat, and I'm happy that folks find it a bit unsettling. I did quite a bit of research as I was building the wound and combat systems, and by all accounts, real fighting is rarely clean or quick :)
Yeah, the combat system has a great feel to it.
Punching someone to death is brutal and tiring. I love it.
Enfield Horror meat is safe to eat, right?

Now this is borderline ridiculous!
optical guided bottle rockets makes sense
it makes looting booze easier
Botany is a life savior.
This game is the shit! It makes me feel this Fallout 2-esque nostalgia. I really cant wait to see more plot encounters added. Really fucking awesome game. Holy shit I have a boner.
Long ranged laptop - Extremely deadly
Oh yea. Skype with that thing would kick ass. The other person's screen would look like some sort of Voight-Kampff test.
I guess i'm doing okay. You know, i get around and see things ... And i fuck alot of bandits, raiders, and everything, i tell you hwat! :v: [editline]23rd January 2014[/editline] I also saved before wanting to have go at that Wraith motherfucker... And holy shit, i am glad i saved to begin with. I unloaded all my fucking shells and bullets at that fucker, and damn, i am glad i saved beforehand, as i watched it tear me to pieces, before i put the necklace back on, and watch it run into another poor bunch of defenseless group of bandits and looters on the map :v: They ded too!
Neo Scavenger - Post Apocalyptic Inventory Organization Simulator
The dev said some clever players were able to beat the Wraith, but I have yet to see evidence of that on Youtube. Wish someone who beat it could upload the encounter.
I've played this game yesterday for 2 hours and today all day in work I just kept thinking about it, it does not happen with most games for me nowadays, it's just like the old days, I just hope it does not get incredibly repetitive the more I get into it.
I've really been trying to like this game, but it's obnoxious. If I don't get extremely lucky and find clothes in the town by the chamber I die of hypothermia in five turns. Over and over and over.

I have plenty of clothes on this run. I'm doing rather well after stabbing a bandit to death with a knife and eating him. I'm in Detroit now, and I'm not sure where to go now.
Teach me how to play this.
You only need something sharp, and no remorse! ... Unless you're being serious, and missed this: http://neoscavenger.wikia.com/wiki/Hints_and_Tips
I always make wooden spear, get into woods and use crafting menu to get some branches, take the biggest one and use a shard of glass or any other sharp object and sharpen the spear, seriously even though it's easy to break it but then you at least stand a chance in combat when escaping is not an option, you can also throw it, there are three variants, sharpened, hardened and broad, sharpened is the basic one which degrades quickly, the hardened is made by combining it with fire, the last one requires some objects to make but luckily the crafting recipe is in the wiki, it's a good starting weapon and you can keep enemies at range, melee range is 3 while throwing range is 10.
Teach me how to play this.
[sp]Start with trapping, eagle eye, strength/melee, and whatever else. I highly recommend botany. When you begin, use strength/melee to kill the dog man in the initial cryo tank room. After that, use eagle eye to find a multi-tool knife. After that, go to the crafting menu and combine your trapping skill, the dogman corpse, and your knife and you'll acquire his hide and some meat. The hide is a coat that is enough to stave off hypothermia, and the knife is a decent weapon. I'd pick melee over strength because you will have a higher chance to hit with it. You need to cook the meat, and I forgot how to make a fire... Detroit is the glow southeast of the cryo tanks.[/sp] Why Detroit though... ugh. [editline]26th January 2014[/editline] Also, I've only run into one bandit with a rifle and he didn't have bullets so it didn't matter. [editline]26th January 2014[/editline] What do you do once you reach Detroit? I'm pretty set as far as basic survival skills go.
What do you do once you reach Detroit? I'm pretty set as far as basic survival skills go.
You can find hatter, just at the hex next to the DMC-gate, which might be very helpful if you need to get into Detroit. There's of course also the Junk Market along the wall of DMC. Inside Detroit, Concrete Forest Apartments which is just down right a bunch of assfucking-mystery! But, there's also a few other locations to check out. There's "Zom Zom's" a bunch of hexes north of the cryo lab. Strange Forest, is a bit longer away from the lab, but to the west. Allegan Fairgrounds, north-northwest from the lab. The isotope Mine, head south from the lab And are you sure you want to go to the Hidden Lake? I mean, look at this shit! But if you wanna go balls to the walls anyway, it's far northeast of the lab. Good luck.
Got to survive somehow, I hope this bandit had no family, now I need to find a pan or something and fry this with some seasoning, I'll probably try to cure it though to keep it as last resort since I can just get some berries and mushrooms instead or even squirrels. You know what, I actually decided to drop this meat instead, I don't want to risk mental changes, funny thing the moment I dropped it and ended the turn some raiders and bandits walked over the tiles and picked all of this meat.
