I agree about the hit detection and weapons feeling weightless. Some kind of audio cue would be nice for hit detection.
Really digging the aesthetic, the AO really makes it. If you're still giving out keys, could I get one my way?
I made note of a few things I had a problem with in the game. The first had to be the serious lag spikes. There were times where the game would play smooth and the second I get around enemies there was lag. I got maybe 2 kills the entire 2 hours I played and I promise I don't suck that much. Second would have to be that Melee is way over powered. Its my opinion that it should take at least two hits from a melee attack to kill an opponent. Finally my biggest problem had to be the way health is indicated. Glowing is not an effective method of health indication, a percentage or a heath bar or something more clear needs to be there otherwise half the time its difficult to know you're close to dying. This game is not bad by any means and I'm going to continue playing but those are just my gripes.
Solid game, definitely enjoy it but all of these are valid and late-game is fucking bullshit. If you die even once late-round, your weapon resets to default and you're pretty much not going to kill anybody and are going to get dominated until it's over. At least have it de-level you once or twice but to default is too much. The game also has problems running, i have a pretty solid computer, i can play most games without complaint but even on low settings, there's a constant slight lag and when you fire or swing your sword, there's a lag period every time, makes it hard to do anything. Another point is resources. To my recollection, it doesn't explain to you what any of them are exactly, how to earn them or anything. One game i finished only gave me 150 of the most abundant resources but crafting a new weapon takes around 2800? Kinda slow and grindy. Overall, great game, i love the style of play, i love the aesthetic and i'll definitely be sure to come back and play it later on, once more stuff is added and fixed.

Melee in this is so fucking bad. I'm not sure if I lag when I try to go against someone but i always lose. I don't even know how snipers are supposed to upgrade if they kill someone long distance. Only luck I've had is using shotguns, I can't avoid melee contact so I end up with more deaths than kills. Interesting game and it has incredible amounts of potential, but they need to really balance mechanics and perhaps implement a system to make you respawn with your weapon level at reasonable level. It needs changes before deploying to the Steam market, I just hope they don't just push it without developing mechanics and ensuring that roles aren't overpowered.

Dayum, this would be fun
I've been interested in this since it was first announced.
Are keys still being given out for this? It genuinely looks really fun and interesting to play, especially with friends.
I'm hoping for it to drop a bit more in the sale, though I asked in the summer sale thread about it. Evidently there's some balance issues but it's good for early access.
Just bought 2 copies of this. Once I got past sucking and not understanding how I could see my health, it was really fun. The lack of sounds makes it a bit dull sometimes, but the random people trying to stab you in the back makes up for it action-wise. Enjoying this :)
Talked to a friend of the guy who conceived and started this game's development. Apparently it was gonna be a single player only introspective sad narrative on the nature of war and shit, but they worked at timegate studios and when aliens colonial marines flopped and the studio closed the idea got put on the shelf. It got picked back up and was repurposed into this without any input from the dude. I'm actually not sure if I want to play this, as fun as it looks. Makes me wonder how often this kind of shit happens while no one has a clue.
I always loved these kind of games though sucks that there aren't any remaining keys.
The thread was started May 10th, the giveaway probably started then too. A little late I think.
There may be bots in the game soon!
We're working on AI bots as I type this, so hopefully we'll have them out in the near future. As Anotion mentioned we also plan to have a PvE "horde mode" type of co-op game that you'll be able to play either alone or with friends.
Source: http://steamcommunity.com/app/214190/discussions/0/540744936536236784/
I'm hoping that this drops a bit more on the Steam sales. Sounds like they actually have plans and/or a goal unlike a ton of other early access games. I'll probably buy it within the next few days.
So the game's out of Early Access, is incredibly cheap until 17th and I'm curious on how's the game? Waiting for WTF Is...? on it and will pick it up when I'll have money, which I currently do not have.
How are the servers for this game? I mean, does players get to host their own matches or not?
After playing for a bit, just gonna say that it needs optimization, some bugs like screen resolution 50% making the crosshair go down is annoying, titan powerup doesn't really seem to do much and shotgun might need a buff or so, the bullet hell can get a lot stronger. Other than that, it's a pretty neat game and worth the price right now.
so does anyone have a free key for this? i'm interested in it but i hear on/off things about it.
So I decided to buy this game today. It's actually pretty fun, though there's one thing people get wrong about this; it is not a Dota-esque game. The creeps only spawn in 'Titan Mode', and only spawn when both titans are destroyed. They do not attack anyone, and instead just run around for you kill and buff up your titan for when it respawns. The game is fast paced, which is really sweet, and there's never really a dull moment. Both Horde and titan mode are pretty fun, though they could both use some improvements. For example, in Horde mode, the mobs are initially very weak. But at round 3, their HP has tripled and their damage has doubled already. This makes fighting them in groups nigh impossible. Titan mode just need some actual creeps that will fight alongside you. Weapon imbalances are numerous. Explosives are only effective if they land right next to a person, shotguns are woefully underpowered, swords are OP (seriously, there's a katana that almost completely heals you with just one swing at an enemy), there's a beam weapon that (seemingly) never has to reload/cool down and so on. There needs to be more variety in armor as well. Currently it all pretty much breaks down into "You will gain <X amount of something>, but lose <X amount of something>". Only a few armor pieces actually gives you any clear bonuses/downsides. There are also some serious lagging issues. Even with a low ping, other players will either freeze in place or suddenly teleport 10 meters to the right. All in all, the game leaves much room for improvements, but in its current state, it is still playable.
I would love a key. I always liked games like Quake, UT, and I always also liked minimalist art styles. This is PERFECT!
How can you get a key if it's out of Early Access and is labeled to be 'full game' which sort of means beta testing is over?
I'd also love a key as well if anymore are being given out, this game looks pretty promising though so far from what I've seen.
I don't think keys are being given out people. The game is, as RocketRacer said, out now. Though it isn't entirely true. Contrary to what the Steam page would make you believe, when you launch the game for the first time, it will make it very clear that you now part of the early access beta. So if you want this game, buy it now while its 50% off.
I don't have the money to get it, but it looks fun :(
Thus far I've learned that the swords are the cheapest pieces of shit out there, and the shotguns are possibly the most fun I've had in a game like this.
Bumping to hope get more intrest in the game. For those who don't know, Minimum added a Workshop the the game. Their workshop seems to run the same way the TF2 workshop does. Items get accepted get in the game, and if sold you get some of the profits. I have a feeling not many even know of the workshop as you have to find it yourself, and you can only see it if you own the game. I was lucky to upload the first and second (non dev made) items on the workshop!
