Well I just wish that even if they don't want to make a new game for Half Life, they could maybe at least sum up the cliffhanger ending with a comic or short film just so Half Life 2's story arc could has an ending.

some people would love to talk but are held back by the ecosystem.
But some valve hardware people (the ones still working there) have found ways around it.
Seriously, the massive layoffs which hurt valve hardware the first time and then abrash disrupting development drastically when he recruited people over to the rift (this hasn't been mentioned in any of the interviews as far as I'm aware), they are beating valve time with a gamepad, vr headset, vr controller, vr beacon, and steam link.
If only those valve walls could talk.
