I haven't played much Dragon Age, but the general impression I got from people at school was that Inquisition was a masterpiece. I take it this isn't the general consensus?

Pros: Mario Maker, Metal Gear Online, King's Quest, Zelda U Need to see more: Bloodborne (Never really been a Dark Souls guy but I don't hate it), No Man's Sky (I'm still not seeing too much actual gameplay, just more flying), Pretty much any announced game with no gameplay (lookin at you, "Brothers" Devs and Fullbright) Cons: DA:I winning GOTY, ads for fucking season passes, constant music (althought Imagine Dragons was good), Adam Orth and Phil Fish-shirt man Am I forgetting anything?

Looking at who's won, it's not as bad as last year. That i can say. And i'm pretty surprised Valiant Hearts got recognition. Actually, there are quite a few shockers with who won. And then you have the ones that dont sound as right. Far Cry 4 as best shooter? Not too sure about that. Best Online Experiance being Destiny? Again, i dunno. Dragon Age winning best RPG and Game of the Year? That i really don't know.

I honestly don't think there were enough good games this year to warrant a GOTY award.

Other than TB rather touching acceptance speech, this awards show was terrible. Wolfenstein TNO getting spurned in its categories, Bayonetta 2 getting spurned by tumblr: the game, Sony makes nothing but QTE simulators and Witcher 3 downgrade. Absolutely fan fucking tastic.

Dragon Age is a worthy pick for GOTY if you ask me. I wouldn't exactly pick it, I think it's a fantastic game but it's undoubtedly flawed in a number of ways. I probably would've picked Bayonetta 2. But yeah, it's not a bad pick. There were worse games they could have chosen.
