it looks pretty awesome, but the fact that he's restricting destruction/digging because he doesn't want it labelled a minecraft clone is pretty shit.
I don' think he's restricting destruction/digging because of that, but that he wants the adventuring to be the focus of the game
Would be nice if he supported modding as much as Minecraft does. I'd love to be able to create my own dungeons or quests. Also, without digging/destruction how does he plan on players getting building material?

Also, Minecraft doesn't do anything to support modders at all, aside from being made in Java. The community reverse-engineered the files to create their own APIs and code, nobody at Mojang ever did anything. Whereas since this is coded in C++, unless you like writing your mods in raw assembler code you're shit out of luck unless he puts a potentially significant amount of time and effort into implementing a script library (such as Lua, V8 for Javascript or Angelscript) and hooking it up to his engine.
Getting a little tired of all the voxel games to be honest.
I'm sick of all the generic hero space shooters fps 2012 And at least this looks like it has direction and a better idea of what it wants to be compared to Minecraft.

Because that would mean he would tolerate it but be too lazy to really support it.
This game looks awesome. Cant wait to play it
Well i can safely say I'm going to purchase this.
From a first person perspective, auto aim isn't needed, from the third person it is.
No it isn't look at Monster Hunter. It gives you no auto aim whatsoever, because it isn't needed.
You guys talk about auto-aim as if its place in games is uniform. Some games benefit from it, some game's don't. It's all about the core game balance of the game and what challenge there is beyond aiming.

Unlike most people, I'm not going to choose one game over the other, and will continue to play Minecraft and Terraria, while I play this so I can have more fun. I don't get this odd thing with you guys where you think you can only play one or something.

this looks awesome! will these be on steam, sorry if it's already been answered
Only have so much time, can't game 24/7
I beg to differ.
What would be the benefit of it? Serious question, no trolling.
In its current state, the game's camera is freely moving. This means the camera moves independent of the direction the player faces. With the auto-aim system you can maintain the camera moving freely without compromising the aim.
Free character movement without auto aim only makes sense if you use a controller which snaps to set angles (like the gamecube controller) assisted by aim assist. Otherwise it's going to be a stafing fest to hit anything.
It has to be better than roblox
I R B exited, but I don't have enough money for this and borderlands 2 *puts gun to head*
It works like Terraria's multiplayer sort of. If you get items for your character in one server, you'll have them in singleplayer, and on other servers. Saw it on his twitter.
the game doesnt look like worth any higher than $15 :/ but minecraft looks like $10 game I want this.
Someone should try and find out if he'll put it on Steam. If so, all my money.
I don't like steam. I don't know if it's possible to do both, but I would prefer to have it available retail or from his own website.
I don't like steam. I don't know if it's possible to do both, but I would prefer to have it available retail or from his own website.
Well yeah it's possible. Isn't Terraria getting retail?
I'm getting this.
Well yeah it's possible. Isn't Terraria getting retail?
Yeah, but it went retail much later and for 20 pounds. I don't think dev can go retail at launch and seeing as some people aren't willing to pay over 20 usd, I don't think it's a good idea.
Watching this trailer makes me realise how easily Mojang's been getting by... Don't get me wrong, Minecraft's a great game; but this obviously has a lot more effort put into it than Minecraft does.
I don't like steam. I hope after a few months he doesn't stop adding content and get lazy.
This looks like a 3D rpgmaker game. Remake Vampires Dawn:Ancient Blood in it.
