It seems to be a cpu related issue mostly. Using the retreat+glide exploit for absurd speeds on my ragner I can even run into those loading screens but I never do at any other point in time. (Also side note, getting one of those loading screens while gliding puts away your glider and you can't pull it back out. Taking 17,000 fall damage from a loading screen is [I]not[/I] cool...)

If you notice you're about to hit the load screen you can pull back a bit and go into a mini-nosedive. You'll probably still hit the load screen, but you probably won't lose the glider. Once it's loaded you can press forward again and still have all your speed.

Both me and Swefox had to disable Windows error reporting to make it work. If it works for some people out of the box though, cool.
Also all servers are down again? Goddamn it, I'll just start mine again then despite the fact that my room turns into a sauna every time I have two computers running at the same time :v:

Someone on reddit said using defraggler on the cubeworld files especially the map saves makes it load faster. I'm not sure on the credibility of it though.

I've yet to see a server I've been on crash because of it. Maybe you're thinking of the Scout's Swiftness skill? Because that crashes servers.

I've been trying to buy this game for like 3 days now. I'd probably have pirated it if I wasn't afraid of viruses and malware haha. Though I hope those who do pirate the game will still buy it to support the development, once it becomes purcheasable
I've also been wanting this game. But it gives no reason to pirate. The developers deserve the money for their work, and I would love to support them. This money they receive only makes the game better, and allows the developers to have not only better servers, but better content. Before pirating, think of how you would like it if you were them. Working their butts off to provide quality and you give them nothing in return. It just shows impatience and a lack of understanding of the situation, they deserve every little penny. *end rant*

It's fairly sudden when it happens. It only ever happens to me when using the exploit.

In my case even if I did do the exploit on a server it would be my own server. (Although my ranger is the one character I'm okay with cheating on just to mess around.) But using the exploit shouldn't crash a server, only make it lag badly at worst. It seems to be people disconnecting or maybe even connecting that causes them to crash. (This is only going by my experience with three people though. More people might simply be unstable.)
So I did a bit of a thing. I spent a couple hours farming +4s for high quality items but never got a new chest piece. So I went to the adapter thinking "Hey! I've got over 2000 platinum coins! Surely that'll let me adapt it!" Nope. Nearly 100000 to adapt. So I jokingly decided to see what it would take to adapt my new longsword which is a gold PL 87. It came up as some incomprehensibly high negative number. For a laugh I clicked adapt. It worked and gave me the amount listed. So I kinda went and adapted every piece of equipment I had on, most of which was either gold or purple high level stuff that was also in the negatives. Now my armor rating is at 198% and my weapon rating is 368%. And I have over 220 million platinum coins left.
I also have a tempo of 217.6%

tired of seeing tearing decided to jsut try and use nVidia CP to force Vsync among other things.
turned on enchance apllication setting for AA
changed AA to x8
Power optimization to best performance
Pre rendered frames to 4
threaded optimization to on
Vsync to on.
a couple of these settings were bad ideas and somehow locked up my computer while playing.
i come back and after Alice's advice i turned down/off some of the bad ones and the ones that didn't seem to work.
only things i got on now are 3 pre rendered frames (4 is too much) and power management to performance mode.
im at 60 frames and not getting any tearing.

Well that was a fun ride, playing solo ranger until I got some legendary quality stuff.
Albeit I the game has GUI scaling issues for lower resolutions which made some stuff in the game (such as weapon customization) impossible. I quite enjoyed the terrain and the immense mobility you have in this game.
And lastly, I'm quite surprised that it has so very little bugs for an alpha.
Just reached lvl 110 today. Found a castle full of lvl 110 humans +4...
Lets just say enemies damage scales alot better than your hp does... the mages in there deal 700 damage per shot and the boomerang rangers instagib you because they hit you for 200 about a million times. Although... they dont have too much health so its not impossible, but the boss is pretty much impossible.
I hate mages with a passion. Especially water mages. For some reason, dodging doesn't seem to work against most mage abilities. And if a mage casts before you get to cover, then even if you get behind cover immediately, long before the spell reaches you, it'll still damage you. And those damned tornadoes. Those are literally unavoidable.

Mine is great but now that I'm 163 and he's still 44, its a bit weird. He dies so quickly against everything we fight.

Just looked, special abilities and appearance for boss pets is planned. Still, I bet if I could find one he'd at least be nearer to my level than my current one.

Wrote it, aka copied the srcds autorestart script that is floating around everywhere and changed the names :v:. I did the same thing.
Also that's the only method that got rid of the popup for me, so I can confirm that one, although on my box DontShowUi already existed, it just had a value of 0 instead of 1.

Yeah it didn't exist for me, I run Windows 8 though, so maybe that's the issue.
