Cool, tamed a level 32 mosquito, as a level 32 warrior.
Hmm, maybe. But currently travelling across regions is pretty inconvenient and impractical, so getting back to your items after travelling around would be really annoying.
Because the world is actually huge, it'd be really cool to see more useful resources and more indepth crafting + the MMO size server thing, because it'd give regional advantages and possibly result in fun server politics and such Shit I'd love to see content-wise: Smaller towns sometimes on the roads, like with just a well/inn/one store/one crafting area/1-2 fields Banks in major towns that store items in a persistent bank across all areas, with a fee of the item's value to store or retrieve it Travelling merchants and caravans that follow roads between towns, like 1-2 shopkeepers of random types (including resource merchants that don't spawn in towns and sell limited stocks of raw goods, so there's something unique to travelling caravans) and a few tough guards More common useful dialog - NPCs more often talking about nearby areas, pets available in the region, or maybe even secret stuff like hidden treasure stashes or roaming bosses nearby. Ideally 90% of what NPCs say should be useful. Innkeepers especially should always say something useful about the area Removing examine prompts from stuff that is unremarkable, like fences, counters, crates, tables and other props. Tables and some others could also use better collisions (jump on a table sometime - it does not act like a fence, you tend to sink into it, tents have a big collision box, you can't run over bedrolls, etc) ^ wishlist ^
Me and some friends fought a boss for about 30 minutes straight, only for it to reset when it was almost dead. All Of My Rage.
Is anyone hosting a high level game that I could join in on?
I dont know why you guys hated my post a few pages back about using uTorrent or BitTorrent to open a port. I was replying to a person wanting to play with a friend without port forwarding, so I gave him a method on opening a port using a different program. Right now I open my ports the normal way of accessing my router through my browser. But previously when I had no access to it, I used this method and it worked completely fine.
Hey, anyone know a way to easily level up? We tried to fight a boss, but he wrecked our asses and then we would have had to scale the pillar he was located on again, which was p difficult.
I don't think you really know how it works.
Now that I think about it, it might actually work. You can map ports through UPNP and I'd imagine many of the more popular torrent clients can do that. Suggesting to use torrent software to do that is silly though, there are specific tools for doing that like upnpc. Even then it's a better idea to configure it through your router settings since the UPNP mapping is not permanent. [editline]12th July 2013[/editline] Did some digging around and apparently Windows 8 even has an integrated tool for doing that. I don't know if it's in Windows 7. hey swe me and namaste (and whoever kinky is) managed to run all the way to the next town on your server we also ran through some catacombs :3
I've gone through and looked to the last time I posted, I didn't find any such post. Are you thinking of voided's file manager thing? I'm looking for this:
I'll get around to it today. The thing is I have to make a ui for it which seems like a waste of time for such a simple tool. There should be alternatives on the cubeworldforums. I could also make it pack and unpack from the .db files directly but I'm not sure it's worth it when there's a tool for that.
Just an FYI for everyone, as of right now the store is available to buy the game
Hey, anyone know a way to easily level up? We tried to fight a boss, but he wrecked our asses and then we would have had to scale the pillar he was located on again, which was p difficult.
Do quests and explore castles, they tend to have a lot of high xp doods inside, in addition to (potentially) good loot.

Hows he go so fast?
Hows he go so fast?
One of the main reasons is that he is using the Ranger glider glitch, where the played uses the Retreat skill then using the glider, or while on the glider.
So I just bought this and I'm downloading the client for it now, but theres a button that says 'Activate game key' so I imagine I'll get a key sent to my email address...right? Nevermind.
I really don't get how some people are level like 100. The travel times are so large, and the exp gain is so low. Also, every mission so far, have been with a boss that required 20 mins of constant hitting to kill, while it killed me in two hits. The game has got loads of potential tho, cant wait untill the release

I really wish there was more variety in the gameplay; I think the monotony of the gameplay attributes to why I find it such a grindfest. Has wol said anything about any new game mechanics that would be a bit more taxing on effort rather than making someone do something a lot of times?

Really, some sort of resource gathering, player home construction, town portal construction perhaps.. Maybe an ethereal realm that functions like the Nether in MC (each step is 8 times as far as in the real world for example) populated by ghosts or other nasties. This would discourage low level people from going to high level zones since the ghost mobs will probably eat their soul, and make there be something to do while traversing the ethereal plane for higher level people. Anything is better than walking, and gliding/riding isn't enough faster than walking to be worth it.

The core gameplay just leaves a lot to be desired, especially the combat and crafting.

They usually only give keys for special circumstances, for like when Youtubers or reviewers get their copies.
It's not as bad when you do it with friends, but it gets old FAST without friends.
It got old fast for me specifically because I was trying to keep up with friends who were playing a lot more than me. (Which was already like 5-6 hours a day which is a shitload of time in a week for me to even be playing any games, let alone the same game...) [editline]12th July 2013[/editline] That and dying constantly because I was 9 levels below one of the two I was playing with and 6 below the other. That didn't help.
Looking for 2 bros to play with, preferably under level 200. PM me for server details. I have a dedicated TeamSpeak too.
I'm not a bro :(? [editline]12th July 2013[/editline] wakeboarderCWB just donated €10 You're fucking awesome :). [editline]12th July 2013[/editline] I will add a section on my site for donators. I wanna credit people who donate, also so it makes it easier for me to remember people when I start giveaway.
The biggest problem is lack of an end-game goal you seek, I hope they find a solution for that
The biggest problem is lack of an end-game goal you seek, I hope they find a solution for that
It's alpha and pretty much nothing is added.
wakeboarderCWB just donated €10 You're fucking awesome :).
Awe no problem :) What a lot of people don't understand is the game is still in alpha. They expect all of these cool features when the alpha was just released. Either way, this alpha is enough to keep me following the game and hopefully still be playing it on release.
I think endless exploration is better than fighting shitty dragon. CW is not about lvling you char to beat endgame boss, it's about non-stop adventures.
