After playing for a few hours yesterday I think my main gripe is how spread out everything is and how long everything takes. I definitely get a lot of an MMO vibe from this game and I can't decide if I like that yet or not. I really hope as more content gets added to the game that it fills in the gaps in the existing world instead of spreading things out more. Would love if things were spaced more like they are in Skyrim.
I feel like I spent 2/3rds of the game running around looking for stuff I could fight that wouldn't beat my face in. (I like the difficulty level but when there are only a few mobs you can actually fight the first few levels it takes a long time to find them) Want to craft 50 potions? Stand around clicking a button 50 times.
I would definitely like more skills too, but I'm sure that's something that's coming.
I really like the combo hits system (reminds me of Marvel vs Capcom and games like that) and makes combat feel a little more skill-based than just "use things when cooldown is done".
Would be cool if we could dig/build a little like in minecraft, maybe make blocks take way longer to break though so people don't just tunnel everywhere (although it's a sandboxy game so that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing).
For being an alpha the game definitely feels great though.
I really hope there will be some really long dungeons, like more than one session of play type long.
I'm a sucker for long dungeons
fyi you can just hold the button down to craft, but it's still a pain.
fyi you can just hold the button down to craft, but it's still a pain.
you can hold it down then alt tab and it'll stick
I hope they add a way to portal to places you've already visited. Be it an item in the shop, a skill you can get, or anything.
Return to Town scrolls or something would be nice
and a way to teleport to your house in the future.
-Fuck windows update, it turned my firewall on without me realising...-
and a way to teleport to your house in the future.
Well the fact that we'll be able to own land should be enough sign that we'll definitely have a method of quick transportation in the future.
holy shit turtle is so good
its even better because i got one at lvl 3 on my archer gg
You can actually find portals that can let you teleport to any other portal, although you basically need to scour the entire biome.
I've only encountered one portal in my travels and I've trecked through 8 biomes/plates.
Town scrolls would be a great idea, or even if you could add more markers to your map which shows the portals.
It's actually completely possible to do that without ever even touching Cheat Engine if you're a high enough level. (I've only seen it happen at high levels too for some reason.) It tends to happen if you adapt an item of your current power level which should normally be free. For some reason though the game wraps it around the the highest negative number it can handle.
Ah, now that you mention it, that's exactly what happened. I lagged while adapting something up and adapted it twice on a power 100 character, making the free adaptation make that awful loop.
Unfortunately I can't use platinum coins anymore now until I find that memory address again.. :suicide:

i've only found one, they should be easier to find imo
I have discovered why wolves aren't tamable yet:

is there one per biome?
is there one per biome?
I've seen people with 2/3 in one. The problem is finding it in the first place, it's a huge pain in the ass. If you really like one place for some reason, oceans are your best bet for portal hunting, unless you retreat+glide on land
What's that editor do?
If you use a CE to make changes (I found on on reddit somewhere, as a result on my ranger my pet is currently a small tree) does it also keep those changes on mp servers?

also swe i don't know if this would be useful or not but i saw it on reddit
Oh, haha.
I adapted some ranger shoulders on my mage. They were +91 power, I'm +91 power. Here's the shoulders.

Here's my platinum afterwards.

I've not modded my save at all. Not even used cheat engine. I guess this is a bug? I think they went from blue shoulders to purple.

Can I buy a slot with this? Sorry I would send it to you but I don't have a fax. Legit hard earned AMERICAN money I earned with hard work, raising bald eagles and teaching them about freedom.
No.
I really don't get how some people are level like 100. The travel times are so large, and the exp gain is so low. Also, every mission so far, have been with a boss that required 20 mins of constant hitting to kill, while it killed me in two hits.
The game has got loads of potential tho, cant wait untill the release
It's not that hard, I'm level 138 right now. Me and a friend who's level 100 played for a few hours and I got from 125 to 138. Once you get to a higher level it actually gets faster to level, because there's bosses that take very little time and give hundreds of XP - the trick is just finding them quickly.
One thing we found that worked well was to have somebody sit in town at the innkeeper and after we finished a dungeon and fled to have the dude in town reset the dungeons by talking to the innkeeper
EDIT: I fixed my dedicated box, turns out the problem was nothing other than it needed to be restarted which rarely happens
Am I correct in saying that the dedicated server application only supports Windows right now?
Dumb questions gives dumb answers.
The question is dumb because he didn't read the OP.
I actually did, i just wasn't sure if if was just a donation to help out or it was an actual requirement, and you don't have to be a ass about it it was just a question :/

Okey sorry, I apologize and I realize that I could just have answered the question. No you don't have to donate to play on the server.
The donation is more of a "donate and show support, get games as a bonus".
