honestly it seems port forwarding is the way to do it rather than hamachi. i've joined some servers for similar things like Terraria, server in the same state i come to find out later. it was laggier than just forwarding ports so maybe try taking hamachi out of the equation?
Hamachi is just easier for this situation, since I'm the host and I'm just connecting to my own server there is rarely lag. And no one else is joining my server, since none of my buddies are interested in Cube World.
I guess I'll try reinstalling first.

Can't you just join localhost or your local network ip?
Can't you just join localhost or your local network ip?
Holy shit I am an idiot
Sadly, regardless of the reinstall or the switch to localhost, the game still acts up.
I'm starting to worry that it is linked to my character, and I don't want to lose all of my spent hours to some bug.
One of the quest bosses I hunted down is fucking terrifying:

And in my travels, I found the TRUE owner of these lands!! (???)

I've missed having a game full of fun new things to explore :D

If the ground starts shaking for no apparent reason, is that a bad sign?
If the ground starts shaking for no apparent reason, is that a bad sign?
Possibly an ogre or saurian or something.
Which reminds me. The other day I was playing with a friend and we were just walking along with nowhere for enemies to hide when this saurian comes out of nowhere and flies straight over my head so fast that I couldn't even tell what it was. I only realized it was a saurian when it charged me.

The ground also seems to shake globally every time a fire mage uses fire explosion. Which i have on a 2 second cool down :v:
I have figured out that my local server just had a stroke.
Is there any way to restart the server entirely?
Or better yet, is there a way to fix the constant freezes when playing Single Player?

Yeah, pretty sure it wasn't a troll/saurian as I'd just killed the troll at that mountain.. and I'm not quite at the stage where I'd be encountering saurians yet!

Have you tried playing on a new map/character?

If the freezes happen more regularly when you're running around and loading new areas, it could be that your hdd is slow? I get a little lag when loading new chunks
Have you tried playing on a new map/character?
I have tried both, and the results stay the same. I am entirely sure that this is due to the server I'm running.
In fact, singeplayer fixes the problems the server has, regardless of what character I use, but it has the constant stuttering that makes it very unenjoyable to play.

Can't be. If I have been able to run the game perfectly in multiplayer then there is no reason that it should run slowly on singleplayer.

Have you tried renaming your Save folder so that you're running on a "fresh" game?

Yep. Server still the problem.
Yep. Server still the problem.
I assumed you were using the normal server.exe in the same folder as cube.exe, which uses the same save folder as the game does.

Mmhmm.
Guess I'll just have to take a break for now with the game.
Are there any north american facepunch servers?
Also does anyone like my new slime pet

Huh, this game seems really fun, except that it seems you need some people to play with in order to have that fun.

Yeah I keep checking if anyone has posted north american servers. I would make one but my cpu can barely handle the game itself

I can go on cubefox no problems from Illinois, so I don't see your problem with it.

I guess I can try again tomorrow.
Speedtest.net tells me I get 204 ping and that's usually bearable for me.
Oh god, just had something rather hilarious just happen to me :v:
I came across a Horse +3 boss monster, so naturally I decided to try and tame the fucker.
Unfortunately, he just became a level 7 horse, not a boss or anything - but tamed boss animals keep their abilities apparently, so whenever we got into battle he'd summon a bunch of hostile undeads that'd just end up instakilling him...

yeah I was disappointed when I tried to tame a giant chicken but it turned out to be a regular chicken when it was tamed.
I hope the integrated graphics card problem is fixed soon, by the time it's done the game will be so fleshed out with so much to do and explore, I can't wait!

Wait, there's a problem with integrated graphics cards?

Wasn't really planning on opening it to the public, but I guess it really can't hurt at all.

is there a fix for intel cpu's yet?
ive been wanting to get in on this for a while but its barely playable for me
I tried playing this with my friend on a self hosted server, but it was so incredibly laggy we couldn't do anything.

There's a problem with intel cpu's? Is it game breaking?
There's a problem with intel cpu's? Is it game breaking?
Not with intel cpus regarding the actual cpu, but with their graphics processing units, which aren't supported by cubeworld. (if you have a decent graphics card you're fine)
