Not with intel cpus regarding the actual cpu, but with their graphics processing units, which aren't supported by cubeworld. (if you have a decent graphics card you're fine)
IIRC the last patch released had a fix.
There's a problem with intel cpu's? Is it game breaking?
some older Intel CPUs (like mine too) cant process the game as efficiently as some others, so it can cause stuttering even if the CPU would be more than enough to handle the game. my rig is more than qualified with a Core i5 3.1-3.3 Ghz quad core, 16GB of RAM, and a nvidia 560GTX 2GB vid card. and i stutter still.

Yeah. Whereas my two generation newer cpu that's around the same speeds (slightly faster actually) can run both the server software and the game itself without stuttering or having any issues at all really.
Although that does give me a thought. What temperature does your cpu run when you're playing the game? Because since I built this thing my cpu hasn't even hit 60ºC at full load on every core. (56-57ºC is the highest I've seen on any one core.)
That sounds weird. I still have an ancient Intel CPU (Q9450 @ 3,2Ghz) and the game runs perfectly. Are you sure it's an Intel issue?
I have a AMD 2.60GHz cpu I seriously hope they somehow make it less lagier for me.

So, I'm gonna do that giveaway thingy and just wanted people to get a chance to enter if they want. Donate whatever you feel is worth it etc.
Everything in this list will be given away.

So do I need to use that website and donate or are you just doing the giveaway on here? Just making sure cause CubeFox is down
So do I need to use that website and donate or are you just doing the giveaway on here? Just making sure cause CubeFox is down
You don't have to donate to play on the server. The donation is just there as a bonus thing for people who feel they want to support it and at the same time I will give away games to donators.
I turned off the server for the moment because it was bound to happen that activity would die down a bit while it´being in alpha. But I will never give up on it so don't worry.

it'll take time, wollay still has a good amount of optimization to do to the game im sure. among other things.

Could possibly be a heat related thing then. I'm not sure though because my experience with Core i5s is fairly limited compared to Core 2s. My old Core 2 would have issues above 65ºC where it would sort of hang for a second at times. If that's similar to your issue then you may try pulling off the side of your case (if you don't already have it off) and see if that helps any.
Me and 3 friends are doing a coop series, we're starting from lvl 1 playing all new classes we're not used to. Would it be advised to post it in this topic?
For the people that don't go to the cubeworldforums. I updated my model editor to load and save directly from the database files. No need to use multiple programs now.

Seeing all those models makes me so happy.

Changed the site. Will keep working on it later.
[editline]23rd July 2013[/editline]
July 23, 2013
- Added an option to limit the frame rate (see options menu: FPS limit; default 111 fps)
- Ranger ability 'Scout's switftness' doesn't crash on multiplayer servers anymore
- Ranger ability 'Retreat' doesn't increase hang gliding speed anymore
- The crossbow's right mouse button ability now only does damage when charged
- You can now reset the day in inns only between 6:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M.
- Fixed a bug where multiplayer groups received too much XP for missions

;_;
I'm saddened by 4 out of those 6 fixes.
I'm saddened by 4 out of those 6 fixes.
Even though they were bugs they were the sort of bugs that made the game more fun fairly often. I think he should have gone for an update that went for the less fun bugs or for some performance fixes so more people could actually play worth a damn.
Ha-ha, no more mr. faster-than-light.
Rangers gonna see the game same way as the other classes.

I think bugs that are bad but still fun should stay in the longest to keep people having fun and playing. Balance should be a concern when there is more to do I think. Already I think classes are pretty solid outside of warrior.
My new favourite class is Mage.
Good god I want this game so much, but I have no money. :[
I'm utterly amazed at how far Wollay has taken this game, even in Alpha.

That was exactly my thought on it too. I could understand fixing the glide+retreat one though seeing as he was already fixing an issue related to it. (Even if it was the most fun of the bunch. :v:)
I just bought this and I cant find the download page
[editline]23rd July 2013[/editline]
Nevermind found it
He had to remove the exploits at some point; might as well do it now before people get even more attached to them.

Crashes instantly when I launch it. Does it have to be somewhere?
I'm more worried about the time we've been waiting for updates and all we got is something that can be fixed in a couple of days (this is from a developers perspective, don't think I'm talking out of my ass).
Crashes instantly when I launch it. Does it have to be somewhere?
You probably need all files in the same place. When I moved the program which imports/exports the models, it crashed until I moved it back to the folder where I had extracted everything.
Crashes instantly when I launch it. Does it have to be somewhere?
No you shouldn't need to. It doesn't work on some graphics cards.
wait I'm confused, do I need another program?
[editline]23rd July 2013[/editline]
Also I don't have an Intel CPU
[editline]23rd July 2013[/editline]
Just to make sure the only thing I did was download it, extract the CWME foldeCWr to desktop and launched CWME
Yeah that's all you need. Sorry it's not working for you, I'm working on fixing it. PM me your specs and any log files it created if you'd like.
Good riddance on those ranger nerfs.
