I wish I had waited on buying this.
I wish I had waited on buying this.
I wish it wasn't $20, would of been justified if the developer actually involved himself with the community but he doesn't. Really regretting my purchase. It was a good game for an alpha no doubt, but no response or even a simple tweet?
Passwords may contain letters (a-z, A-Z), numbers (0-9), dashes (-), and underscores (_).
this is terrible security practice and also extremely annoying
imagine CUBEBOUND
this is terrible security practice and also extremely annoying
Lack of symbols, spaces, and max lengths on passwords are really incredibly stupid. Although on the flip side minimum password lengths as well as requirements on what you must have in your password are annoying as well. If I want AAAA as my password then it's my problem if it gets hacked.
If this lack of communication goes on for another month then I'll start feeling disappointed. The game is fun, but it's an alpha and I don't regret purchasing yet. I just hope he updates/communicates with the fanbase soon.
I was looking into purchasing this a couple weeks ago, but after hearing about Wollay's continued lack of communication I decided to hold off. To be honest, I don't really trust him at this point. Until he starts rolling out more updates and actually talking to the community, I'm gonna wait. Also, I think the alpha is overpriced. What's he going to sell it for when/if it reaches the final release?
I waited 2 years for this game , The hype was over the limit. This game dissapointed me like shit . You have nothing to do , Biomes are too big I reached lvl 120 'cause i was realy bored , And i didn't bought it for nothing Hope this game will change , cause for an RPG it realy not good as others , For adventure is Nice ++ , But quests is realy needed . So this game is kinda averege for his genres.

Before the release he would disappear for months at a time with no updates through Twitter nor his blog. Apparently the release didn't make him stop and think for two seconds that now that people paid him they would at least like to be kept up to date on what he is doing. So chances are it's just gone back to exactly how it was before where it could be a few months before we actually hear anything more about Cubeworld.

because it looks as if it won't ever be done ( like cortex command took nearly a decade )
I'm pretty dang sure Wollay is working on a big update, I mean it's not like he's sitting on his ass not doing anything... right?
Don't kid yourself, he's jacking off to lesbian porn all day and already forgot about cubeworld.
I'm pretty dang sure Wollay is working on a big update, I mean it's not like he's sitting on his ass not doing anything... right?
I bet he's sitting on a big pile of cash too busy laughing at us all to work on the game. Once he wakes up from passing out due to a lack of oxygen he might get to it though.
I waited over 2 years for this game, feverishly checking the website for updates... Then I played it for around 4 hours before getting bored. d:]

Don't worry people, once Wollay suddenly releases new update you will be all over his dick again.
Don't worry people, once Wollay suddenly releases new update you will be all over his dick again.
Only for 3 hours, after which we will be crying for months again.
This is honestly one thing I hate about the whole alpha test thing. It's hard to refuse because you want to play the game but at the same time you basically get rid of that "first time experience" feel that would be so much better had the game actually been completed. :(
All I know is that when another update comes if it has loads of stuff in it I am not gonna rush things at all. I will make the fun last as long as I can so it takes a while to burn out.
I'm pretty dang sure Wollay is working on a big update, I mean it's not like he's sitting on his ass not doing anything... right?
Even if he was, a few tweets like, "hey everyone, working on X update which will address some problems with Y, also I'm adding some Z features too. Talk to you soon" would be great. Ohmygodsodifficultthatsaskingtoomuch
so the whole game con thing was like what, 2 weeks ago? so hes home now. i'd hope. im waiting for 1 of 2 things to happen. thing 1. wollay releases a tiny update of some kind. thing 2. starbound team gets a decent Beta build out to those who pre-oredered. guess i'll just play MC and monster hunter till then. atleast most modders for MC have their mods up to the current version.
I had actually forgotten about Cubeworld due to moving in with the Mrs and sorting internet out, fired it up expecting some huge ass update.. "Your client is up to date" *sigh* Really don't understand it, he must have made some nice money on the initial sales, now lets be honest if you was in his shoes knowing full well you couldn't be arsed with the game anymore or other things have been going on you would at least keep some communication and hype up for more sales. Wonder if he died..
Also a shame about the website many of the pictures on there are dead now.
so has wollay changed anything since launch?
did wollay skedaddle with the money or something
so has wollay changed anything since launch?
he removed some bugs that made the game fun (backhop glider glitch)
did wollay skedaddle with the money or something
probably
i'll give him till the end of the month. then everyone in this thread should e-mail him twice a day and flood his box. nothing hateful. just ask him to post SOMETHING to everyone on either his site or twitter. see how long it takes him to notice.
in his defense he didnt even want to do an open alpha yet at the same time, you should actively update things you make people pay for
at the same time, you should actively update things you make people pay for
Really simply communicating would be acceptable for the majority of us. Simply tell us what he's working on every couple days or so. Not simply failing to even exist for months at a time.
