then his wife willl have a lot to carry on her shoulders
Every time I see this thread pop up my hopes that an update came out rise again :v:
Part of me wants a refund, it's not fair for the supporters of the game to be abandoned for 2 months, and even before that he was sloppy. He's worse than Notch.
It's like Wollay is being forced to not say anything and abandon it or something. Why would he just go completely silent when he could make even more money by putting out updates and promoting the game? Yeah the question has been asked like 50 thousand times but sheesh.

His attitude doesn't seem to come across, to me at least, as anything more than caring about doing just what he wants with the game whether it actually harms game sales or not. (Ie: Not wanting the game to support mods. That would interest quite a lot more people but he actively does not want mod support.)
watch somehow it'll end up being hes pulling a valve move and adding stuff rather than fixing current content xP and its causing problems he has to fix in a non ending chain reaction.
A mod should change the title to "Cubeworld - and waiting... and waiting.. and waiting..."
Reading this thread from beginning to end is pretty depressing.
most threads arent meant to be read beginning to end. at this point im just gonna go with he didn't like the pressure of making new content and fixing bugs and dropped the project. this will prolly be my last post here till i hear about an update.
Does anyone know what the fuck has happened?
Does anyone know what the fuck has happened?
nothing, wollay is just doing what he's always done, never updating people about CW for months at a time
nothing, wollay is just doing what he's always done, never updating people about CW for months at a time
Fantastic, it was fun, but now seems like I just wasted my money backing a guy who is lazy as all fuck.
Fantastic, it was fun, but now seems like I just wasted my money backing a guy who is lazy as all fuck.
He's been like this openly for like 3 years. Also, it was like $20.
He's been like this openly for like 3 years. Also, it was like $20.
People kinda justifiably expected more communication when he released the game.
it was a pretty good scam imo
20$; 16 hours worth of time. :l I guess.. I guess that's okay. I mean I spent like 20$ on Killing Floor and have almost 1,100 hours in it. Shit, I spent like 2$ on Terraria and have about 500 hours. Holy shit I'm an embarrassment. [t]http://puu.sh/4P5iV.png[/t] SHAME
He's been like this openly for like 3 years. Also, it was like $20.
Lots of people bought it, I'm sure he has plenty of money to develop the game. I've bought plenty of $20 games or into the beta/alpha with weekly or at least monthly updates.
well he has the money but does he have the drive to continue is what it boils down to. he can up and dismantle everything at a moments notice and it wouldn't be against the law. no refunds required either. he does it though no one would want him working for them. atleast no smart person would. all we can do is wait for his twitter to move or the website to update, or see if we can fill his e-mail inbox up.

He always seemed like one of those devs who work on an update silently for a long time, and it fixes a shitload of things and adds tons of stuff.

Especially after all he's been through in the progress.
well when ever teh day comes he starts taking bug reports on the new update im gonna slip in one of my reports to him among a list of other stuff, "dev communication with public needs work" something like that anyway, dont wanna sound like an ass saying it.

Good to know he's still alive and functioning.
well im excited
By additional things he means he has to spend all that scam money Jk tho
I'm really happy to just see him SAYING something. Like, seriously. I'm so relieved.
Christ, he screwed the pooch on that one. Back in the hype days, that one update would have spurred six weeks of discussion, rampant bullshit speculation and "I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT ONE MORE DAY SEND HELP" posts. Like, the sort of hype Modern Warfare games would literally murder the President for.
I'd love to delete Swefox's server from the OP but as a lot of you may know, Facepunch likes to delete the entire OP if I try to edit it.
https://twitter.com/wol_lay/status/392124893480767489
Oh, so he didn't die. That's good to know.
I'd love to delete Swefox's server from the OP but as a lot of you may know, Facepunch likes to delete the entire OP if I try to edit it.
You could try quoting it then manually readding the quoted parts. Takes extra work but it's supposed to work fine that way. (Oddly I've never had the issue with the site not wanting to edit my posts.)
I was originally just too lazy to re-add all the quotes, but I did it anyway.
