Last blog update was May 7th and last tweet was May 9th so nope.
best way to know if there is an update, check the twitter feed or run the game. twitter is for "hey i've not put anything out but heres where i stand on this" and runningthe game is to search for any actual new content release.
I really want to play this with an update, guess I will wait earnestly.

You'll probably be waiting awhile. The last update was about the same time you joined FP.
It probably would have been best if he never released the beta at all.
It's a shame this game doesn't allow for more extensive modding. If it did the community would at least be able to create it's own entertainment during the long times between updates.

it's an alpha.
With Wollay's speed of doing things I expect this to go into open beta around at March 2023.
This game joins Half-Life 3 on my waiting list, wake me up when it's out.

I'm not upset about the situation or anything, however, I kind of assumed that being an alpha, he'd want to send out updates regularly, whether or not they could be broken. I don't understand why he has make a huge addition to the game in order to release it. It's an alpha ffs.

yeah i had this thought long ago, i actually have been sending it via twitter often. just moments of boredom.
questing system aside from the sound of how he talks about it, the new biomes, level system, and world generation, is good to go. the things not in that i could really care less about till its ready is the quest system and teleporting to players.
but wollay has this delusion that the game has to be complete for the next update. despite the point he doesnt have nearly the hype he did on day 1 where he was popular enough to be DDoSed. if people still do it now its a waste of time and would be better spent trying to piss us off here at FP.
I forgot how beautiful the game was and the environments.
Music is awesome too, feels like Zelda.

I was fairly certain he was still working on this, and I like his way of doing things. Whenever he shows off new content I have forgotten about all the old stuff and the game feels new and fresh again.
So when is combat going to become less damage spongeish?
I read the first three pages of this thread, and it was nothing but kids tripping over each other to call minecraft a bad game and claiming notch is a
"bad programmer."
Great to see that this game was a dud while minecraft is still going strong. Bring on the boxes suckers.

Notch [I]is [/I]a bad programmer. And this game is a dud because the dev is an idiot when it comes to PR. That has nothing to do with the actual quality of the game.
