This is true. Stepping into the limelight and releasing the game gave him a lot of opportunities to expand his game and influence by accepting help, but he wouldn't. Ultimately his choice, but a foolish one at that.

he has made promises like that though (i'd dig them up but im lazy)
one of the big ones im sure a lot of people hoped for was the revitalization of his own forums for people to discuss the game and report bugs or other issues. a lot of this happened for a little while then he had to take the forums down to rebuild them and that never saw completion for over a year now. its one thing to be a 1 man programming team, but its inexcusable to not put up some answers to frequently asked questions about development.
