Getting a little tired of all the voxel games to be honest.
Im still waiting for the Minecraft + Command and Conquer/ Civilization to happen...
nother twitter update from him. mentioned about 500 different armor items alone. i could only imagine the weapon variety.
My oh my wheres that demo!
Have I mentioned how hard it is to wait for this game? Because it's hard waiting for this game.
So excited for this
Im still waiting for the Minecraft + Command and Conquer/ Civilization to happen...
Stonehearth. Look it up on Kickstarter. And I am very excited for this game, been waiting for it forever.
So when is he planning to start a kickstarter? my wallet is ready.
I haven't read the entire thread, but is it still not going to have any form of digging or mining? I know it's not Minecraft, but the only thing I liked about Minecraft was just being dumped in a random world and digging my life away. I loved to hear some distant sound underground and just dig for hours until I found an underground lavafall or flowing river and then just follow that throughout the land until I emerge in some foreign, unknown area. Make a little home, call it a night, etc. Is there anything like that planned for this game or is this one more story-based and traditionally played?
From what I've seen there are still cave systems, and ways to blow your way into them with explosives. But no Minecraft style of mining.
How is weapon progression so far? I know the upgrading looks easy and simple, but will there be stronger weapons only obtained from drops or will weapons be completely customizable from beginning to end-game?
theres definitely improved weapons and shit if I remember correctly, you have a limited number of blocks that you can use to modify existing weapons I can't remember what but the number of blocks you have is determined by something and can be increased
Oooh.. I remember this! Back when my other PC couldn't handle Minecraft I looked for games like it and then I found this, but that was quite a while back. It has been in development for quite some time now and I can't wait!
yeah in many ways it'l be a much more resource efficient game (needing 64-bit systems for Far viewing distance was a tad extreme for MC) this game the highest view setting is more than likley double the MC far view distance.
Still looking forward to this game. Wish we got a bit more news on it every now and again.
Can't wait for that feeling when I see it released. It'll be glorious.
Still looking forward to this game. Wish we got a bit more news on it every now and again.
yeah, once he gets his own website up it'll be easier for him to give us news, and if he adds his own forum hopefully it wont go badly like some other forums we know of.

@wol_lay Does that mean that Cube World will be ready soon? :) Wolfram von Funck Wolfram von Funck ‏@wol_lay 4h @CWFrance I'm not sure, but I'm starting to prepare it. that was wollay's last tweet so far.
this guy has some incredible determination to keep powering away at the game with hardly any public feedback and no alpha/preorder funding
I see it as some kind of fun project to make by yourself to have a fun time with, even though you know what all the items/etc do, you can still make it to where you could have fun, even if you're the creator.
yeah it seems that way, i kinda hope he can keep all the devving and testing in his own domain instead of asking anyone outside, if the leak from starbound was any consolation i'd like to not have something like that happen with cubeworld. i wanna hear nothing but good news.
Twitters jumpin at the moment lots and lots of good news! edit: no demo or release date.
God damn it, Xilo! You had one job! Find us a release date, and get me pictures of Spiderman! I'm seriously giddy about this game. Lots of great indie pet projects coming out this year.
Damn...oh well, I prefer him taking his time.

So we may get more footage of the game, he said he is preparing a non-public test build, maybe for people from Youtube
So we may get more footage of the game, he said he is preparing a non-public test build, maybe for people from Youtube
possibly yeah, i dunno who i'd want to get a first look at it though, Niko and Sam aren't big game reviewers but who knows they could be real good at it.
Also he is now giving beta to family and friends
I've had my eyes on this one for a year or so now, I think. It looks like it has a lot of potential, and could be a lot of fun. I wish it was out already.
