I don't have the game, but on the website it says house building is not implemented yet, I have no idea about crafting though.
So I downloaded the demo to try it out and see if I'll like it. Only to find out that it's not even a demo. It's a menu screen that apparently is to determine how well the game runs...That's not a demo at all :/

I know crafting is implemented. Digging isn't. House building is being worked on, so not currently in the game.

I've seen people digging into (and way, way down to the core of) mountain with bombs though, so there's at least that level of digging

Oh for fuck sake why do so many people not know how to read? It says right on the download page for the mini-demo/tech demo exactly what it is.

I wish the tech demo actually had an actual stress test like high altitude views so it would render more. Rendering just terrain from only the ground does not really set a good benchmark of whether you can play the game or not. Just if it can run. Personally I prefer tech demo's like this to actually stress test my computer as well as the engine by displaying more effects than what you'd see in-game like if a source engine stress test did large bodies of water rendering or lots of particles.
