There's no sandbox part to Cube World however. It's purely an action rpg with randomly generated worlds.

Yeah this sucks. game doesn't even let me try to sign in with the launcher anymore...? before it would let me try, then say "couldn't connect to update server." but now it doesn't even give me the option to login, what the fuck.

and yes, I've read the FAQ, reinstalled the game, restarted pc.

You can start the game with the .exe without going through the launcher, if that solves anyone's problems.

Cleared my first castle and the boss inside at level 4. Killing the boss levelled me to 5 and now I can ride my pets.

if you dont have internet for whatever reason you can play the game fine since saves are local

Well I just mean that people seem to be having issues if they can't connect to the update checking launcher. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding since I haven't had it happen.

Yeah, you need to be online just to update but you can still launch it if it fails to connect to the update servers, similar to Minecraft's launcher and offline mode.

Everything crashes the game. A lot of us got fucked by the update servers being down for some reason.
