How do you modify your weapons with blocks?
Does adaptive vsync not work on the game then? Because I forced vsync and triple buffering for cube.exe (and after that didn't work, the launcher) yet I still render at anywhere from a low of 90fps to a high of around 130-140.
Yeah adaptive is like it trying to figure out whats best, so you need to set it to "on" that will force it.
even with changing that stuff it's still getting hot as fuck.
Yeah adaptive is like it trying to figure out whats best, so you need to set it to "on" that will force it.
I had always been made to understand that adaptive would enable vsync as long as the framerate is above your monitor's refresh rate but would disable it if it falls below that number. Must have been a bad explanation then or I somehow badly misunderstood it. Thanks, that'll help cool my computer down a bit.
Is multiplayer really laggy at the moment? I mean, when my friend tried to host for just him and I, there was a lot of it. It's not his internet connection, because he hosts a lot of other games for us to play. None of them go above 100 ping. 80 max. So is it something to do with Cubeworld's MP in its current state?
so much for multiplayer fun :v
Well that was fun while it lasted, got 8 levels (level 38 now on my main ranger) in 10-20 minutes on SweFox's server then it crashed, oh well!
I got 16 levels :)

One of the two people I played with also had no lag issues but the other one did have more lag issues than usual compared to multiplayer. It could be simply that your friend's computer isn't powerful enough for him to host and play the game at the same time. The game definitely seems like it could do with some optimization in the cpu usage department.

I'm having difficulty finding iron nodes and stuff like that. Any clues as to what areas I should be looking out for?
I always restart it within 5 seconds.
I know, you are a pretty good host for that. I just need to go to bed, I've been playing this game for too many hours straight haha
i´m joining. i can´t properly progress on singleplayer and i´ve yet to even try multiplayer. OMW! [editline]6th July 2013[/editline] can´t connect :(
I'm having difficulty finding iron nodes and stuff like that. Any clues as to what areas I should be looking out for?
find a place that looks like this it's filled to the brim with caves and caves = iron
it's online 188.95.224.58
Man, the scaling in the game is kinda weird. EXP levels start off going up by 40s, and then start to go slower. It goes in reverse.

We still had the problems. I suppose it's something to do with this internet connection then, so we can only hope that it is fixed within the next few days if that is the case.
I'm guessing you need to register to buy this, and therefore to get it I'll have to wait until registration is re-enabled?
This looks interesting, I saw some clips of it a while back. Though I really hope it'll be modable, I love the customization of this game.
Damn it, the only ultra badass good stuff I have is for another class.
I'm guessing you need to register to buy this, and therefore to get it I'll have to wait until registration is re-enabled?
Registration seems to be working again at the moment.
The Reason For Server Downtime Our server is getting attacked by denial-of-service (DoS) attacks on a regular basis. The attacks usually occur in the evening and at night (European time). Because of that we have to disable user registrations and the shop from time to time, and you will get the message about 'Server Maintenance'. We will try to find a solution as soon as possible.
from the website. just fucking wow. why do people ddos everything?
Tamed a snout beetle. They make really good pets though I think you have to stop for water breaks more often than usual.
At about level 12 I decided to switch from being an Assassin-Rogue to a Ninja-Rogue to see how they played. Holy shit its like the game just turned on easy mode. Basically, any time you use any of your special attacks or abilities, you automatically avoid any incoming damage. Literally any. But at the same time, any time you evade damage by any means, you get 25 MP. So you can literally just hold down both mouse buttons to stay constantly switching between attacking and specially attacking, and you'll take almost no damage because you special attack so much. Or if its something that has a steady attack pattern, you can attack normally then special when it attacks to get more MP, then just do it again. I've finished entire boss fights in 30 to 45 seconds without taking any damage doing that. Also, Shuriken throw is ridiculously fun. I'm getting it to at least 10 if not higher for that quick cooldown. If you get hit with a DoT, its just a nightmare for anything you're fighting because you can hold down special attack and avoid the damage of the DoT but get the MP boost instantly, so your special does max damage constantly. I killed a mage boss in 15 seconds because he hit me with a DoT right as I special'd and I just never let up.
Tree bosses are a pain in the ass, and especially +2 tree bosses. Chewed through almost a hundred potions.
How do you even make custom weapons?
How do you even make custom weapons?
Look for iron/wood Go to a town Find a smith/woodworker Convert wood/iron to wooden/iron blocks Find customization table in smithy Right click weapon, and you can edit the weapon Just make sure you select the blocks you want, and also make sure the weapon is turned the right way, otherwise you'd have blocks on the side of your weapon like I have now :|

[editline]6th July 2013[/editline] Oh and I'm having memory issues as well. (The fog gets really close and if I move into it it say please wait, takes forever to load)
