If the patrolmen are attacked or killed, that will trigger the base attacking the rookie village. Of course a lot of times the army will come out of the base and start strafing right into their own minefields in front of the base :v: . Less so in Clear Sky though because instead of individual stalkers the game handles the stalkers as squads and instead of just strafing all over the place they usually run for the nearest corner / waist high obstacle and get glued to it.
I managed to kill the military guys under the bridge when they all gathered next to a tree in a tight group. Does this normally happen, because it happened for me a few times.

Goddamn, escaping from Dark Valley after X-18 is hard when all you got for protection are two nearly broken stalker suits you have to switch between, especially while facing the surprise at theexit to Cordon. Luckily I still had an RPG from earlier, so it was a little bit easier.

LURK is more fun when you only have 5 shots left. Getting to Sid was worth the 90000 RU.

Speak to the monolith and it will give you the difficulty you seek. (Master)

I want to replay the Stalker Series and get the best experience from them. What order should I play them in? Edit: and any of those mods?

I'm feeling a STALKER mood. What's the best CoP for adding content? Mostly weapons and items. Big fan of LURK for SoC but I think the LURK for CoP hasn't been updated recently, right?

Yep I vouch for SGM. 2.1 adds lots of cool stuff all contained in the original CoP levels, and 2.2 goes further by introducing new levels as well. Some are buggy and incomplete but it's still fun!
